1. How to use 7 coordinators (BOYFANS):


- Connect two words (two nouns, two adjectives. two adverbs,…)
Ex: Are you a student or a teacher?
- Connect two phrases
Ex: I love big cats and small dogs
- Connect two independent clauses
Ex: I like him, but he doesn’t like me.
- Starting a sentence with a coordinator
Ex: I want to hang out. But my parents ask me to stay at home.

2. Differences between but and yet in conjunction:


-Yet as a conjunction means ‘but’ or ‘nevertheless’. It often occurs after and. Ex: So many questions and
yet so few answers.
-But as a conjunction is used to connect ideas that contrast. Ex: she's not pretty but cute.

3. Differences between because and for as a conjunction:


- We sometimes use for as a conjunction meaning ‘because’. We use it in very formal, and often literary,
contexts.For is more formal and less common than because. Ex: He’s overweight, for he eats too many cakes
