Describe your favorite teacher


I would like to welcome the judges, teachers, and everyone that is listening. Today, I have
a speech that I would like to talk about. The topic of my speech is “Describe your favorite
teacher”. My teacher always influences me.

Firstly, I will talk about the keyword “favorite”. According to my research on Cambridge
Advanced Dictionary, the word “favorite” means a thing that someone likes best or enjoys most.

Is everyone curious about my favorite teacher’s appearance? My favorite teacher is


named Jay Qalokivuya. He is born in Fiji. He is a foreign teacher in my school. He is probably 45
years old. He is very big and tall, approximately 1 meter and 72 centimeters, I think. His skin
tone is black. My teacher also wears a black shirt and it looks really nice.

Does anyone of you wonder what my teacher’s characteristics are like? Teacher Jay is a
bit of a kind, smart, strict and playful teacher. He is only strict when a student gets into trouble
or forgets to do or bring their homework. An example is that one of my friends forgot to do
their homework so the teacher became strict. He is not so good with time. He always reaches
school on-time but he manages to sometimes come late. He is also kind when we respect him
and listens to what he says. Teacher Jay always teaches us very nicely and politely. All of his
lessons make sense to us and he also helps us if we confuse one of our answers. Sometimes, he
congratulates us if we do something that amazes him. Teacher Jay is a very congratulative
person. He teaches us about English lessons, grammar lessons and a bit of vocabulary. Teacher
Jay has very good teaching skills too. Sometimes, he lets us do meditation and sometimes, lets
the class play some games too. My teacher sometimes also tells the whole class about his
backstory. Sometimes, he asks the students about what they do in their lifetime and the
students give him funny answers. He is a very kind and polite person. He also helps other
people when they have a problem. Teacher Jay is an extrovert. He always has energy when he is
around some other people. My teacher has a lot of friends. His friends are very kind. My
teacher’s friends are actually teachers in my school.

Are you excited to hear about my relations with me and my teacher? We both are very
smart people and we are kind too. We love to play games with each other. Sometimes, me and
my teacher make jokes to comfort my friends.

In my opinion, teacher Jay Qalokivuya is a very playful and smart teacher because he
loves to do fun activities with his students. He feels like an energetic teacher.
