“Research Facility Training Program”

As part of the Scientific Social Responsibility (SSR) activity of the DST-SERB-
CRG project titled “Development of 2D nanostructures dispersed nanocellular
conductive polymer foams for EMI Shielding”, Department of Chemistry,
Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore conducts one day activity on “Research Facility
Training Program”.

Applications are invited from suitable candidates to participate in the training


program. Maximum of 10 candidates will be selected to participate in the program.
Travel fare (as per TVU norms) & certificate will be issued to all the participants.
Tea & Lunch will be provided.

Participants:
Faculties & PhD scholars of Government / aided / self finance colleges /
research institutes.
Subject: Chemistry/Physics/Materials Science

About the University


The Thiruvalluvar University was established at Vellore by the Government
of Tamilnadu in October 2002 under the Thiruvalluvar University Act, 2002. The
University was inaugurated on 16.10.2002 as a State University. The University is
located in a Sprawling Campus of about 112.68 acres at the Serkkadu which is 16
km away from the Vellore City on the Ranipet-Chittoor Trunk Road. The University
named after the great Tamil Saint "Thiruvalluvar". The university has ten
departments namely Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biotechnology, Zoology,
Computer Science, Economics, Commerce, Tamil and English. There are 65 Arts
and Science Colleges affiliated to this University.

About the Department

The Chemistry department was established in 2002 as a research department.
The department offers M.Sc, M.Phil and PhD courses. The faculty members have
been working on modern and thrust areas of research in chemistry. The faculty
members have received financial support from various funding agencies like UGC,
DST, DRDO and BRNS to carry out the research projects. The faculty members
published several research papers in both national and international peer reviewed
journals. The department is determined to educate and graduate rural students and
committed to prepare, compete and contribute to the needs of modern chemical
science.

As per the direction of SERB at www.serbonline.in, a maximum of 10


candidates will be selected, by the PI and Head of the Department.

COVID19 appropriate measures of the Government of Tamilnadu will be strictly
