between the concepts of growth and development.
o. Explain the concept of human rights and trace its historical development

a. Self-reliance means you can make your own decisions.

You can solve problems, make decisions, and trust your
intuition and judgment when you need to. In other words,
being able to think about your own decisions when other
people aren't around. You also make decisions that are in
your best interest.

b. While a parent's involvement in their children's education

develops as children grow, one constant remains, Parents
serve as their children's learning models. They may be
ANSWER
able to get ideas from their views on education and learn
how to be in charge of their educational journeys. As their
children grow up, parents are their first teachers. When a
young child starts going to school, the parent's job is to
show him how the school can keep learning that you
started at home, as well as how exciting and important this
learning can be. Parents give their kids advice and remind
them to do things that will help them learn new things both
in and out of school.
c. • When you are self-reliant, you take responsibility for your
decisions and do what you can to make sure you do what
you're supposed to do. When things don't go as planned,
be the one to fix it.

• When you push away or suppress your emotions, you

may find that you use your interactions to solve your
problems or vent your anger. Instead, learn how to be
more aware of your emotions so that you can be more self-
reliant.

• You can even improve your self-reliance by trying out

different ways to deal with unpleasant emotions.

d. According to Daniel Martínez, an Assistant Professor of

Sociology of Columbian College, peace and tranquility go
hand in hand. Peace is when people don't get harassed
because of their nationality, immigration status, race,
ethnicity, political affiliation, religious views (or lack
thereof), sexual orientation, or any other reason. People
who have a home, food, and friends who love them also
have peace of mind because of that. Many people are
persecuted and don't have basic things like housing, food,
or a supportive social group. Therefore, a peaceful world
requires us not to be selfish and to treat others with
respect. We must also share what we have with those who
have been lied to.

e. Ian Handerson says that conflict is often seen as a bad

thing in society that needs to be removed as soon as
possible. Conflict can also be a difficult or unpleasant time
in the development of a system, but if it is handled well, it
can change and make things better.

f. Peace is seen as the opposite of war. Peace and conflict

are not the same things in any way. Peace is defined as
the absence of conflict, while conflict is defined as the lack
of peace. When there is ongoing disagreement, it is
possible that you can never achieve peace.

g. When there is a conflict, the Melioristic approach can be

one of the best ways to deal with it. This is because we
can work together to solve our disagreements in an open
conversation for the benefit of everyone. It's important to
be honest and clear with each other during the process of
coming to an agreement. Acquaint ourselves with what's
going on and be honest about what's going on. We don't
want to figure out which person did the conflict, but we
want to come up with a solution that everyone can live
with.
h. A social problem is an event or pattern of behavior in
society that has a negative impact on individuals and must
be addressed and corrected. It's a social problem that
makes it harder for people to reach their full potential.
Poverty, unemployment, unequal opportunity, racism, and
starvation are all societal issues.

• Child abuse
• Climate Change
• Employment discrimination
• Health Care Availability
• Immigration Stresses
• Malnutrition
• Overpopulation
• Poor Leadership
i. • Poverty
• Racism
• Substandard housing
• Unemployment
• Unequal opportunity

j. Ignorance - It's a circumstance in which the majority of a

group's members secretly despise a standard but follow
it anyway because they believe the majority of others do.

Poor Physical Planning - Natural disasters can be made

worse by a lack of proper infrastructure and services,
dangerous housing, and inadequate and bad health care.

Lack of Good education – Uneducated People have a

difficult time blending into social situations and are
frequently rejected. They are unable to participate in a
variety of social activities productively and completely due
to a lack of resources provided by education.

Uneven Development - Uneven development tends to

destroy its foundations, resulting in higher wages, rising
land prices, decreasing unemployment, and the formation
of trade unions, as well as lower profit rates due to
corruption, civil conflicts, and other factors.

Poverty - It involves a lack of access to services such as

education, markets, and health care, as well as the
inability to make decisions, lack of water, sanitation, and
other basic needs.

k. Human medical resources, particularly doctors, are in

limited supply in the Philippines' healthcare system. As a
result, the system becomes less efficient and slows down.
Private health care facilities are often the primary choice
for Filipino families who can afford them. Public facilities,
which are frequently used by low-income families, do not
give as good care as private institutions. The majority of
public facilities are found in more operated rural locations.
There is a critical shortage of medical experts and supplies
in these facilities. In this upcoming election, we must elect
a leader who is concerned about this type of social crisis,
especially considering that we are now amid a pandemic.
We can't just let what happened in the early phases of the
pandemic happen again.

l. Growth is the unstoppable growth in the size of an

organism through time. It can also be defined as one of a
living thing's characteristics. It is the process of physical,
mental, and emotional development in humans, animals,
and plants.

m. Development is the process of raising the standard of

living for all people. It is the attempt to improve oneself by
growing, enlarging, or refining oneself.

n. To state that something is growing means that it is

increasing in size or significance. In contrast to the term
"physical change," which refers to growth, the term
"psychological change" relates to development. On the
other hand, the development encompasses both quantity
and quality enhancement.

When the word "growth" is used to describe living things,

it can mean that they get larger. Over time, a living thing
grows physically, which shows up in things like weight,
height, and bone mass. This is what growth looks like in
this case. When you learn new skills and abilities, you're
called to develop. It is about how a living thing acts.

o. Each person has the same level of dignity and rights when
he or she is born. These are moral claims that are instilled
in everyone by their community, no matter what their race,
religion or ethnicity, faith, nationality, sex, cultural
differences, or any other factor is. These claims are made
and written down in what is now known as human rights.

1215 – Magna Carta

When the King and the rebel barons signed a document
together, it said that everyone had the right to be free and
have their case heard in court.

1689 – The English Bills of Right

The monarchy's power was curtailed by the English Bill of
Rights of 1689. Legislation can no longer be suspended
without the consent of Parliament. Regular elections and
the freedom to free speech in Parliament were preserved
by the legislation, which also prohibited excessive bail and
unusually harsh punishment.
1789 – The French Declaration of the Rights of the
Man
The French Declaration of the Rights of Man was based
on the idea that people had "natural" rights that should be
protected at all costs. On the other hand, they didn't
include women or slaves, who were not active citizens.

1791 – The United States Bill of Rights

The United States Bill of Rights established several
individual rights, which was another important moment in
the history of human rights. However, the Bill only
protected white men. It didn't protect slaves or Native
Americans, and it didn't give any rights to people who were
thought to be "black" or women.

1918 - The Representation of the People Act

The Representation of the People Act gave women the
age of 21 the right to vote. Women over the age of 21 were
able to vote and run for office in 1928.

1946 - Universal Declaration of Human Rights

On December 10, 1948, the United Nations passed the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which is what
everyone agrees on. It covered both social and economic
rights, as well as civil rights.
