Q-1. What is thermal loading of the motor? Derive the heating and cooling (07)
time constants of motor in thermal modelling.
Q-2. A 3Ø, 50 Hz, 4 pole induction motor is connected to following line (07)
voltages.
Vab = 420 V
Vbc = 410 V
Vca = 406 V
Based on the above statement, what are the effects takes place on
induction motor in running condition. Explain in brief.

Q-3. Find the drive stability for following speed-torque characteristics. (06)
Here ωm= motor speed, Tl = load torque and Tm= motor torque.

Q-4. Draw the speed torque characteristics of induction motor in following (03)
braking methods.
(i) Pugging
(ii) Regenerative Braking
(iii) Dynamic Braking
