• Grade: 5 and 6
➢ Cognitive:
Students will be able to:
a) understand the concept of reported speech.
b) Identify the rules of reported speech in a news article.
c) recognize direct and indirect speech in the news articles.
➢ Affective:
a) appreciate the use of reported speech in their daily lives.
b) differentiate between direct speech and indirect speech in a reported
speech.
➢ Psychomotor:
a) devise a fictional news report using the rules of reported speech.
b) collaborate with the students to report a news in their online class.

the rule.
6. One question will be given as a tie-
breaker if any of the students has
same scores.

4. Collaborative Activity : Teacher will share the link on the articles from
practice activity ➢ Teacher will share a link in the BBC to find direct and indirect speech
class which has some news article. - Direct speech (Humpback whales return after
