Semester & Quarter: First Semester (1st Sem.), Quarter Two (2nd Quarter)
Track & Strand: TVL-Information and Communications Technology

Date: March 12, 2021 (FRIDAY)

Topic/Subject Matter: Prepare for termination and connection of electrical wiring and electronic circuits by applying the
Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines and Procedures in accordance with computer systems
servicing (TLE_IACSS9-12TCEW-IIIe-f-21)

The learners demonstrate an understanding of concepts and underlying principles in terminating and
Content Standard: connecting electrical wiring and electronic circuits by applying the Occupational Health and Safety
Guidelines and Procedures.

The learners shall be able to demonstrate proper termination and connection of electrical wiring and
Performance Standard:
electronics circuits by applying the Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines and Procedures.

At the end of the lesson, the learners will be able to:

Plan and prepare for termination and connection of electrical wiring and electronic circuits by applying
the underlying principles of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Guidelines and Procedures in
accordance with Computer Systems Servicing (TLE_IACSS9-12TCEW-IIIe-f-21):

1. determine relatively the appropriate OHS techniques or principles in terminating and connecting
Learning Competency: electrical wiring and electronic circuits;
2. evaluate the application of OHSP in terminating and connecting electrical wiring and electronic
circuits;
3. assess and manifest the proper application of OHSP in terminating and connecting electrical
wiring and electronic circuits; and
4. perform Occupational Health and Safety Guidelines or Procedures using one’s effective
techniques.

LEARNING DELIVERY a. Activity

MODE: 1.) Prayer, greeting, checking of the attendance

(4A’s of Learning) 2.) 4Pics1Word game. Introductory and motivational activity.

a. Activity
b. Analysis
c. Abstraction 3.) A short video clip will be played related to the proper application of occupational health and safety
d. Application procedures (enhance Visual Perception).
Processing will follow:
a.) Can you give examples of occupational health and safety procedures that could be observed in
our computer laboratory before using it?
b.) How are you going to apply such OHSP in our computer laboratory?

4.) Pass the Ball game (enhance Memorization). Give other examples of occupational health and safety
applicable in our laboratory. Give the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to be used. Tell the
mechanics in this game.

5.) Pass the Message game (enhance Auditory System). Group into Two (2) the class. Tell the
mechanics.

6.) Return Demo (for Multi-intelligences). Demonstrate properly the Occupational Health and Safety
Procedures in accordance with computer systems requirements among the learners. Same groupings.

7.) Short e-Quiz. Up to Five (5) items. Flash on the screen using LCD projector.

b. Analysis
Lesson Proper
Occupational Health and Safety Standards for Computer Systems Servicing: Commonly Used and
Applied
1. Individual Input
2. Reflections
3. Peer Support

The learner is expected to catch the approaching ball to answer the given problem. The learner would
justify his answer. He can call a friend or pass the ball to another to save him.

After that activity, another is to pass the message accurately. The learners are tasked to deliver the
message through whispering up to the last person, and the last person will tell the exact message to the
whole class. Allotted time will be given.

The learners (in peer support) pick a piece of paper in a bowl or can (the topic – OHSP) for re-
enactment. They are tasked to associate an act that would best explain, portray, and give the best idea
of their chosen Occupational Health and Safety Procedures (OHSP) in accordance with computer
systems requirements.

The learners are expected to attain how would they materialize the given task and available resources
(computer equipment and tools) in the classroom. Subjunction follows from the other group.

c. Abstraction
A video clip related to Occupational Health and Safety Procedures will be played. Performing the
appropriate and applicable Occupational Health and Safety Procedures among the learners in the other
school. The learners are tasked to observe and evaluate what are the Dos and Don’ts inside the
computer laboratory. Give at least Five (5) observations on a piece of paper. Verbal sharing of thoughts
will follow.
1. What are the Dos inside the computer laboratory?
2. What are the Don’ts inside the computer laboratory?
3. How are you going to apply the appropriate and applicable OHSP in our computer laboratory?
4. What are the needed materials or equipment or tools to implement the OHSP in our laboratory?

d. Application
A piece of paper with a task related to OHSP will be given per group. They are tasked to perform the
Occupational Health and Safety Procedures applicable in the computer laboratory. Criteria (A Holistic
Rubric will be used) for the performance task will be given.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY PROCEDURES

This refers to the legislation, policies, procedures and activities that aim to protect the health, safety and
welfare of all people at the workplace.

Holistic Rubric for the Performance Task:

Indicator Goal / Description Final Score
Exemplary All tasks are performed well, presentation surpasses expectations,
(20) and exceeded stated goal

Proficient
Task is performed correctly, and has met the stated goal
(15)
Acceptable
Some task and stated goal are performed
(10)
Needs Improvement Demonstrate little understanding of the task, some requirement of
(5) the task is missing

e. Assignment:
This time you are tasked to perform the application of OHSP at home individually.
What applicable or appropriate OHSP to be performed when you or your relatives were cooking
breakfast at home? Or what OHSP to be observed when charging your mobile phones?
Example are wearing apron and gloves when cooking, and unplug the charging cable when not in use.
Record your performance for a maximum of Two (2) minutes. Send it via my Gmail Account at
[email protected]

Criteria:
Quality of Work (organization, cohesiveness, relevance) – 5%
Overall Assessment (content, structure, comprehensibility) – 5%
Total………………………………………………………………….……10%

Evaluation: Individual responses, group presentation, return demo coming from the learners.

Peer tutoring inside the classroom by giving relevant performance tasks related to the proper application
Reflection: of OHSP in terminating and connecting electrical wiring and electronic circuits in accordance with
computer systems servicing requirements.
