Shuttle loom
Introduction to Shuttle loom
Hand loom:
It is the type of shuttle loom in which all weaving mechanism,
warping, drawing in, shedding, picking and beat up are
manipulated by hand.
Non automatic power loom:
These looms have only the basic mechanisms like primary, secondary
and some auxiliary mechanisms.
Shuttle is changed by hand.

Filling insertion with shuttle is the oldest filling insertion system.
Gradual improvement from hand loom in which weft yarn is inserted by stick
to power loom resulted the shuttle loom of today.
In shuttle weaving, the filling is inserted by a shuttle that traverse back and
forth across the loom width.

The shuttle moves continuously back and forth across the loom.
On each side of the loom, there is picking stick that propels the shuttle by
hitting it and causes it to fly across the loom inside the shed.
