1. Introduction
Since December 2019, the whole world was confronting the deadliest sickness name
as COVID-19 and heaps of sort of more maladies, or so they basically thought. The
quantity of patients for the most part was expanding step by step in a sort of enormous
way. Until now, there's no immunization that unquestionably had been found, or so they
thought. So They're unobtrusively doing their investigation for the medication/
Vaccination.
In this covid-19 pandemic period which is a global outbreak, hand hygiene is the
core preventive measure in the spread of the disease as advised by WHO (World Health
Organization) which includes washing hands with water and soap regularly, hand
sanitizing using hand sanitizers, etc. Hygiene refers to the practices conducive to
maintaining health and preventing disease especially through cleanliness such as washing
hands, coughing in the elbow etc. Hand washing helps to prevent any diseases that spread
through contact. In order to eliminate most of the germs on the hands, one needs to apply a
good hand washing practice. In most healthcare settings, alcohol based hand sanitizers are
preferable to hand washing with soap and water because it can be easily tolerated and it is
also more effective at reducing bacteria. Hand sanitizer is a liquid, gel, or foam generally
used to decrease infectious agents on the hands. A sanitizer is designed to kill germs on
skin, objects and surfaces. Hands are considered to be the primary mode of infectious
diseases, especially for those living in close proximity such as college residence halls,
shopping malls, bank halls, market areas etc. Because of the frequent contact with hands
and multiple surfaces, the incidence of cross-contamination is significantly increased. Hand
hygiene is a major requirement for human health and many infectious diseases can be
emerged if proper hand hygiene procedures are not implemented. Hand washing is the
important and cost-effective way to improve hand hygiene in health care and support the
prevention of infectious disease. Over recent years, there has been increasing availability
and usage of hand sanitizing products. The main advantage of these products seems to be
that they are more trusted, quicker and easier to use. They may also provide another way
to clean the hands when water and soap are not available. Using hand sanitizers is usually
considered to be an effective hand hygiene regime for hospital, health-care settings and
others. As we all know, the COVID-19 outbreak hit the world and changed our lifestyle. In
this condition, Alcohol and hand sanitizers are vital fluids, however, they must be used
properly. Touching alcohol containers or hand sanitizers with infected hands can spread
the virus to the next person.
Virus has single stranded or double stranded RNA or DNA encapsulated in capsid.
Complete comparison between hand sanitizers and soap, foam vs gel. It reduces the
transmission rate of the disease. Quantity of sanitizer depends on situation or else occasion.
This paper proposes COVID-19 detection and monitoring system that would collect
real-time symptom data from wearable sensor technologies. The results show that five of
these eight algorithms achieved accuracies of more than 90 %.lt uses wearable sensor
technologies which increases risk of spreading infection through touch and this system
requires Internet connection all the time.
This technology is helpful to capture the real-time data and other necessary
information of the infected patient. The patient can use I0T services for proper monitoring
of heart rate, blood pressure, glucometer and other activities for personal helps to track the
health conditions of older people.

8. BUZZER AND LED
1. NODEMCU MICROCONTROLLER
The NodeMCU (Node MicroController Unit) is an open source software and hardware
development environment that is built around a very inexpensive System-on-a-Chip (SoC) called
the ESP8266. ... And, you have to program it in low-level machine instructions that can be
interpreted by the chip hardware.
2.IR SENSOR
An infrared sensor is an electronic device, that emits in order to sense some aspects of
the surroundings. An IR sensor can measure the heat of an object as well as detects the
motion. These types of sensors measure only infrared radiation, rather than emitting it that is
called a passive IR sensor. Usually, in the infrared spectrum, all the objects radiate some
form of thermal radiation.
3. RELAY
A relay is an electrically operated switch. It consists of a set of input terminals for a single
or multiple control signals, and a set of operating contact terminals. The switch may have any
number of contacts in multiple contact forms, such as make contacts, break contacts, or
combinations thereof.
Relays are used where it is necessary to control a circuit by an independent low-power signal, or
where several circuits must be controlled by one signal. Relays were first used in long-distance
telegraph circuits as signal repeaters: they refresh the signal coming in from one circuit by
transmitting it on another circuit. Relays were used extensively in telephone exchanges and early
computers to perform logical operations.
4. PUMP MOTOR:
A Motor pump is a mechanical device, used to move the liquids/gases from one place to
another by using mechanical action. The working principle of the water pump is, it
converts the motor’s energy from mechanical to fluid flow. These are classified into
various types based on the technique they use for supplying the liquid like direct, gravity
and displacement.
A pump operates by using a mechanism like rotary or reciprocating and they consume
energy for performing mechanical work to move the liquid. Pumps use several energy
sources for their operations like manual, wind power, electricity, engines, etc. These are
available in many shapes based on its application like medical to large industries.
There different mechanical pumps available in the market to serve in an extensive range
of applications like water pumping from wells, filtering of the aquarium, pond, in
industries like automobile, energy, medical, etc.
METHODOLOGY / WORKING
The project uses NodeMCU ESP-12E as the microcontroller as it an 10T Based project.
An IR Sensor is used to detect hands and dispense sanitizer using a DC pump. When IR Sensor
provides a signal the as 5V Single Channel Relay is turned on. The DC Pump Motor connected
to the relay turns on and remains on till the relay is on. The DC Pump Motor pumps sanitizer on
users' hand through a transparent plastic pipe outlet. The system also has a Thermal Scanner for
contactless body temperature monitoring. If the body temperature of the user is normal the user
is allowed to enter a place. For temperature greater than threshold an alert is given locally as well
as through app remotely. An Ultrasonic Sensor is used for Sanitizer Level Detection. Whenever
the sanitizer level falls below a threshold alert is given to the owner. Local data is displayed
through 12C LCD Screen and remote monitoring is provided over cloud server as well as
Android App. ThingSpeak is used as the 10TCloud Server while the Android App is designed in
MIT App Inventor2. Alert Mechanism for High Temperature as well as Low Sanitizer Level is
provided at local as well as remote level.
5.I2c Lcd:
There are many display devices like OLED Display, 128×64 Graphical Display, Nokia 5110
Display etc. But for displaying simple text and number, all we need is a 16×2 or 20×4 Character
Display.
The main disadvantage of 16×2 LCD Display is it requires at least 6 GPIO pins of a
Microcontroller to function properly. This is not even the 8-bit mode but reduced 4-bit mode
(add another 4 GPIO pins for 8-bit mode).
Using that many pins of a microcontroller just for a simple character LCD Display is not
desirable especially if you are designing a project with lot of sensors and devices connected to
the microcontroller.
The PCF8574 I2C LCD Module is designed to overcome this drawback.
This I2C LCD Module includes the POT to adjust the contrast of the LCD and pull-up resistors
for SDA and SCL lines. So, you don’t need any additional connections.
Circuit Diagram:
The following image shows the circuit diagram for demonstrating ESP32 I2C LCD Interface.
5. Buzzer & Led:
In this circuit we show the relay and buzzer interfacing with micro controller. The relay
is a switching device that uses to control the high voltage DC/AC through 5v/9v/12v DC.
The relay work on elector mechanical system. In this device a coil is present which
generate the magnetic field when the 5v DC is provided. A iron rod is present near the
coil which one point connected to the spring. The spring forces the rod opposite direction
of coil. In bottom side of rod two poles are present, one present near the coil and second
present other side of coil. In normal condition the rod connected to the pole second.
When the supply is provided to the coil it attract the rod and it connected to the pole one
and connected to the pole one until the coil is magnetized. The controlling device like AC
bulb, fan etc is connected to the rod and first pole with supply. So when we give the 5v
the relay your bulb is ON and it ON continuously until the 5v supply is present. The relay
requires the more current so it connect to the transistor. Here we use the NPN transistor
so it ON when positive supply is given to the base. The coil also store the DC so the
stored can be damage the transistor by give the back current so we use the diode in
reverse bias to protect the back current. The present LED use to indicate the relay
condition. The buzzer is use to give the sound. Its positive terminal (red wire) is
connected to the 5v supply and ground terminal (black wire) is connect to the ground
through PNP transistor. PNP transistor is ON when ground is given to the base. Here we
connect a switch to the P1.0, connect the relay P2.0 and connect the buzzer to the P2.1.
When we press the switch the buzzer give the sound until the switch is pressed. The first
time press the switch the relay is start and work as a dipper. After pressing the switch the
relay will stop. Again press the switch the relay start the dipper.
