BACKGROUND
Since its conversion from a military land into a commercial hub, the vibrant reputation of Bonifacio Global City as
a growing financial and lifestyle district in Metro Manila continues to attract many foreign and local investors and
residents. This is very evident, looking at the various construction and commercial activities in the area, as well
as the high value of its properties.
As a result of the high demand to acquire space and property in the area, Fort Bonifacio Development Center
finds it highly marketable and profitable to build another mixed-use development project to cater commercial,
recreational, institutional, and residential functions.
You are thereby commissioned to submit a design proposal following the project requirements below.
PROJECT BRIEF
A mixed-use high-rise development project is envisioned to rise in Blocks 56 & 57 of BGC. This will
accommodate more spaces and opportunities for commercial, recreational, institutional, and residential
purposes. As the designer, it is part of your task to research and determine the specific activities, functions, and
spaces that will need to be included in the proposal. The application of smart and green technology is a
requirement, along with the following design considerations:
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS
▪ Adapt technologies & approaches that address sustainability within the built environment;
▪ Thoughtful place-making, considering the site’s location and its surrounding area;
▪ Well-defined public & private spaces that demonstrate inclusivity & exclusivity, as necessary;
▪ Site & building development must conform to the requirements of NBC.
PROJECT SITE
The site is located in Blocks 56 & 57, within the bounding streets of Parkway McKinley, 9th Avenue, 10th Avenue,
11th Avenue, and 25th Street. The total area of the two blocks is 15,765 square meters. See Figures 01 & 02 on
the next page to see the road network and the buildings that surround the site.
