SETTING LINUX ENVIRONMENT WITH VIRTUAL

MACHINE USING CENTOS

 Download Virtual Machine and CentOS iso file.


 Enable Virtual Machine from BIOS
 Enable Virtual Machine Platform, Hyper-V, Windows Hypervisor Platform & then open
Virtual Machine.

 In file menu, open preferences and select Network and ADD NAT NETWORK.

 In main screen/window thorugh + button add new server.


 A window will pop up then select options as given in figure below and click next.

 In Next window we have to select RAM or Maximum RAM Virtual Machine can use and then
click NEXT.
 Select the option to create a virtual Hard Disk and press NEXT button.

 Select to Hard Disk file type as VHD (Virtual Hard Disk) and press NEXT button.

 Select Dynamically Allocated option save excess memory and Click NEXT.
 In Next window we have to select Maximum Hard Disk Memory Virtual Machine can use and
then click NEXT.

 Open Server Settings and enable Adapter-1 and set to NAT Network.

 Open Server Settings and enable Adapter-2 and set to host only Adapter.
 Go to storage in server setting and add CentOS as controller IDE by using CentOs iso file and
click OK .

 Now start server and select Install CentOS 7.

 Installation process will start .


 Select Langauage.
 Set Date & Time.

 Set Installation Destination, Software & Network & Host Name and begin installation.

 Now set USERNAME , PASSWORD & ROOT PASSWORD.


 Now it will restart and Linux terminal will Start.
