Installing or upgrading are stressful enough, so we won't talk about them for now.

This book helps those whom use a computer (desktop, laptop) with Windows 10 and its purpose is to
allow you a most simple use and control of your computer, and also a cost effective one.

Windows 10 is a series of operating systems produced by Microsoft and released as part of its
Windows NT family of operating systems.

Windows 10 received mostly positive reviews upon its original release in July 2015.

Microsoft aimed to have Windows 10 installed on over a billion devices within three years of its
release;[15] this goal was ultimately reached in March 2020.

0.2 How this book works

The book tries to keep Windows 10 as simple as possible. And also to keep it low cost.
If one gets to manage all the tips and tricks from this book, then one can use Windows 10 with
low stress. The book leaves out the more complicated features of Windows 10. If you already use
them then very good for you. But if you got more stress when using them then you can use this book to
reverse to more simple, cost effective features. Not all the users need the myriad Windows features.

When you will have a good command of the options, app and tools in this book, then you will have the
upper ground in using your computer.

A future book will deal with the more complicated Windows features.
1. Login Screen / Welcome Screen

After starting your computer you will get a

Welcome Screen with the time and date.

Then just click the screen with the mouse and select the user by clicking it.
After selecting the user you have to enter the right password to login.
Windows allows to bypass the login screen, but then everyone can access
your computer. Not recommanded.

After a successful login the computer's screen will show the Desktop.

Optimized for a mouse and keyboard, it’s where

you arrange your work in windows and make things happen.

Slideshow option is more complicated, so we will skip it for now.
