I. DEFINITION OF TERMS
1. Plumbing Plumbing is a word used to describe
the technology and connectivity between
systems in a cloud computing platform. It
covers the cloud environment's systems,
storage, network, and connective
components. The phrase is derived from
the plumbing of water systems. Data from
data centers is transferred to end stations
via its plumbing, same as water is
transported from reservoirs to houses and
usage centers. The efficiency of the
applications and services provided is
determined by the quality of the plumbing.
2. Siamese Connection
An inlet body, a check valve, and
a pipe connection to a sprinkler system
compose the Siamese connection. The
Siamese connection was inspired by the
Siamese twins. As a result, the Y-shaped
design with two inlets connects the two
hoses. The two inlets make it easier for
the firefighters to connect the two
hoses. These direct the flow of water to
the fire sprinkler or standpipe systems.

3. Vent Stack
a pipe installed vertically or
almost so and attached to the traps of
plumbing fixtures in such a way that the
water seal is not siphoned out of them.
Every structure with plumbing
must have at least one main vent stack
when connecting to the sewer or its
septic tank separately. The stack must
take the most direct path via open air
or be ventilated to reach open air.
4. Asbestos pipe
Asbestos cement pipe, also known
as transite pipe, is a tubular cement liquid
transfer vessel made of asbestos.
Asbestos is utilized in asbestos cement
pipe to improve its mechanical qualities.
To transmit drinking water,
wastewater, gases, and odors, asbestos
cement pipe was extensively utilized.
Although very resistant to corrosion, it
does weaken over time, therefore
replacement of existing asbestos pipe
systems is becoming more common.

5. Brass Pipe
Brass pipe fittings are commonly used
to transport water, chemicals, combustible
gases, slurries, and other plumbing materials.
Brass pipe fittings are available in a variety of
shapes and thread sizes for connecting,
adapting, or controlling any liquid or gas in
pipes.
Brass fittings are utilized in a variety of
automobile applications, including air brakes,
hose ends, and fuel line valves. Brass fittings
can also be found in ballcock adapters,
refrigerator cooler fittings, and compression
6. Bituminous fiber sewer pipe fittings.
Orangeburg pipe, also known as
bituminous fiber piping, is comprised of
wood pulp that has been sealed with
coal tar. Because of its low cost and
the scarcity of cast iron during WWII, it
was frequently used. Orangeburg
sewer lines were still commonly used
until the 1970s.
Orangeburg piping was originally
designed for dry use in electrical and
telecommunications industries, not for
water and sewage.

7. Galvanized wrought iron pipe
A standard-sized steel or wrought-
iron pipe that has been galvanized by
coating it with a thin layer of zinc.
In older homes, wrought iron pipe,
abbreviated as WIP, is utilized for water
supply. Because wrought iron does not
easily fuse, it cannot be cast. Threaded
wrought iron is commonly used with cast
iron fittings. Tapered threads, not
screwed threads, characterize cast iron
fittings. The pipe is also available in black
or galvanized finishes.
8. Reducing socket
When the straight plumbing line
along which you want to connect two
pipes differs in size, reducing sockets
are your best friend. This 6" x 4"
reduction socket is intended for waste
water and plumbing lines that do not
have pressurized water flowing through
them. It is used to join two 6" and four
4" pipes in order to continue the
straight line.

9. Coupling
Couplings are mechanical
components that join two parallel shafts
so that one can drive the other at the
same speed. A connection can be rigid or
flexible, allowing for angular, radial, and
axial misalignment of the two shafts.
Couplings can be utilized to prevent
stress and overload, reducing machine
wear and increasing overall lifetime.
Couplings, unlike clutches, are not
designed to engage and disengage as a
routine activity.
10. Wye branch
Wye is a suitable arrangement
with three openings connected (at a 45°
angle). It has a Y shape and connects
three pipes. A wye connects horizontal
and vertical planes.
