Have you ever had a pet before?
- I used to have a dog when I was a kid. He and I are actually best friends. I remember
taking him to the park, breastfeeding him, and training him in many cool tricks. More
sadly, when I was older, my pet died because of illness.
Unfortunately, no. My parents didn’t allow me to keep a pet as they were
worried that I could be bitten by them.
Do u like keeping a pet? Why or why not?
well, I don't like keeping pets. Of course, I never dislike them, it’s just that, I’m not into
it. To have a pet like dogs is really costly, most especially when they are sick, sometimes
the medication is much more expensive than humans when they get ill. And because of
that, I’m afraid that I cannot afford to provide for the needs of my pet if I have one.
What are the benefits of having a pet?
There are many benefits of having a pet. They can increase opportunities to exercise, get outside,
and socialize. Regular walking or playing with pets can decrease blood pressure, cholesterol
levels, and triglyceride levels. Pets can help manage loneliness and depression by giving us
companionship.
Do you think cities are suitable places for keeping a pet?
there are a variety of reasons why cities are suitable places for keeping a pet. One reason is that
cities have great medical facilities, which means their pet will be better with a monthly health
check. Moreover, they also are able to recover from accidents with higher survival rates thanks
to experienced veterinarians. Furthermore, one of the best things that create happiness for a pet
in the cities must be entertainment. Nowadays, people tend to treat their pets better than in the
past. So that, activities for pets grow more and more.
If you have children in the future, will you allow them to keep a pet?
Yes, of course. I suppose keeping a pet is beneficial to a child’s
development. By living side by side with them, pets can become their friend
and give them emotional support.
What are popular animals that Vietnamese people keep as pets?
I suppose the most popular animal that Vietnamese people keep as pets is dogs. A lot of
Vietnamese children grow up with fond memories of their puppies as their childhood best
friends. Besides, you can see that there are many dogs rescue groups in the main cities.
People keep dogs to guard their homes against thieves and I think we would all agree that
dogs are loyal companions to humans.
16. What is the most popular animal in Vietnam?
Well, it is dogs, perhaps. In the countryside, each household typically has a
dog to watch their house as dogs usually bark when they see strangers. In
the cities, many people, especially the young, do not hesitate to spend
money on buying a dog and take care of them like babies.
Do you love watching wild animals? Why or why not?
Very much. I am always amazed at all the TV programs about wildlife animals.
and I enjoy some documentaries on National Geographic that I come across. I find
the wildlife shots incredibly fascinating, especially the ones where a predator is
hunting its prey. I’m an animal lover and I love finding out how different the lives
of animals can be from one species to the next, and what these animals need to do
to survive in different parts of the world.
14. What kinds of animals do you like?
I am into all kinds of birds. For me, they are beautiful and lovely creatures.
In fact, some of them may be naughty, but watching their behavior can be
something really relaxing to do.
What wild animals do you like the most?
I love many wild animals like tigers, bears, crocodiles... Hmm... My favorite
one is probably the kangaroo. Well, it is like an oversized rabbit. It jumps
around and it carries its kids in a small bag on its belly. It's a really cute and
funny animal, and that's why I like it
To be honest, this is a tough question because I love all types of wild animals
(Really, I like reptiles like snakes and lizards, I also love elephants and giraffes,
and so on. If I had to choose one of them, I'd say the sea turtle. One of my
dreams is to go swimming with a bunch of sea turtles and play with them. They
seem so cute and peaceful... Yeah.
Do you think it’s important to protect wild animals? Why or why not?
definitely yes, protecting wildlife is not just about our responsibility but also about
ensuring life is good for us. We are living on a planet where any imbalance affects the
entire living being. and wild animals help in maintaining balance in life. So, if there's no
them that will in turn imbalance the food chain. and we being the highest at it will surely
have to face the consequences.
In your opinion, what can be done to save wild animals in your country
I think we need stricter rules to protect natural areas and the wild animals that live there.
For example, we should stop cutting down trees in the forest. or we can become a
volunteer. Many organizations and zoos have volunteer programs. You can help clean
beaches, rescue wild animals or teach visitors about it
The musical sounds of birds can be a matter of fascination for children, and most birds
are non-threatening and can stay in their cages without any trouble.
A fish is one of the best pets for toddlers since all it takes is clean water and food at
regular intervals. Some brightly-colored fish can also intrigue your child and entertain
him. In particular, both of these animals do not shed hair, and do not bite or injure
children, so they are very suitable for children to keep as pets.
Tell me about an animal that you like watching in the zoo.
It’s the tiger. It was bigger than I thought it would be. I'd seen plenty of tigers on TV, in
movies, and on youtube, but they seemed a lot bigger in real life. It was really like
watching a big cat, the way it moved around. The colors were amazing, the yellow, white,
and black stripes on its body were spectacular. I felt very excited because I imagined it
was looking at me, it was really amazing!
Tell me about a wild animal that you think we should protect.
Sea turtles are one of the longest living groups of wild animals to have ever
existed, about 200 million years. it reflects on the health of their marine habitat,
makes substantial nutrient and energy contributions to beaches, and promotes plant
growth. so If they are extinct, many organisms dependent upon them will also be
affected.
