ADRIAN G. ARIBATO is a pre-service teacher. He is
persuing his degree in Bachelor of Physical Education at
Mariano Marcos State University- College of Teacher
Education and Currently practicing his skills at Mariano
Marcos State University- Laboratory High School Batac.

Batac Campus is a University High School - Science Class
located at Quiling Sur City of Batac 2906, Ilocos Norte.
Headed by Dr. Gerry D. Abad the newly appointed principal.
A school has always vision, mission and goals. Here are the
following:

Our Vision
The High School – Science Curriculum is envisioned to provide
training of the scientifically gifted youth who shall be the source of
leaders and professionals in science & Technology.

Our Mission
1. To provide gifted students a holistic education marked by
excellence in science, mathematics, and technology, humanistic in
spirit and nationalistic in orientation.
2. To be the model high school in national class resources &
comprehensive for education, research and development.

1. To develop and prepare students for Science & Technology
careers.
2. To equip students with knowledge, skills, virtues to prepare them
for a responsible leadership and citizenship.

science & technology.

CLASS SCHEDULE OF TEACHING DEMO
Commitment of a Pre-service teacher
Teaching is my dream profession when I was in high school. After
three long years I am now a step closer in reaching my dream to
become a teacher. Through all the learning's and knowledge that I
acquired in the three years stay in the College of teacher education, I
am now in the teaching internship or what others call practice
teaching. In my first demonstration teaching there are lots of things to
do. Like doing lesson plans and instruction material for my students.
In my very first teaching demo in grade 10. I learned that there is a lot
of things to improve in my demonstration. According to my
cooperating teacher I need to improve my instructional material and
the way on how I throw questions on my students. These are some of
my weaknesses during that time but I believe that in every struggle
you can make a better one.
This weakness that my cooperating teacher told me is my stepping
stone to create a better and more engaging demonstration teaching. I
also need to revise my detailed lesson plan and make learning
materials for my students. In the conduct of my first demonstration I
experience and observe different problem during online classes. Like
the attendance of students and their participation. These problems are
some of the challenges that I encounter during my demo teaching and
I think my students need more motivation so that they can lively
interact with me. After the first demonstration teaching, I reflect to
those challenges that I encounter and I tell to myself that I need to
improve more in the next demonstration to come.
Aside from that I really understand now on how to create a
detailed lesson plan for my class. Through the suggestion of my
cooperating teacher I have acquired and learning different teaching
techniques that I can used in my upcoming demonstration teaching in
my stay at the laboratory school in Batac City. At the end of first
demonstration I realized that this just the beginning of my journey to
become a teacher, there are many possible thing that I may encounter
in the next demonstration teaching but I believe that this challenges
that I encounter in the 1st demonstration teaching will be may
reflection in striving more to promote good and quality education to
my next demonstration teaching at the laboratory high school.
CLASS SCHEDULE OF TEACHING DEMO
Exploring the world of teaching
The second demonstration teaching is yet exciting but challenging
because of a new class that I am going to handle. Preparing lesson plan
for my next discussion is very serious to me because in this time I will
apply the comment of my teacher based on the weaknesses of my first
demonstration teaching. Aside from these I will handle a topic which I
did not familiarize. I challenge myself to teach dance for me to
strengthen my teaching skills and I found it very hard yet challenging
because I push myself in my comfort. Teaching sports in my strength but
this second teaching demo gives me more opportunity to winded my
knowledge in the different track of Physical education. Handling grade 9
students I very hard because of the online flat form of teaching. I need to
prepare a good lesson for my topic.

As I go along the preparation of my second demonstration teaching, I


encountered some problems like the teaching strategy that I will use on
how I teach the topic about social dances. I made research and read
many books for me to prepare myself in discussing the lesson on my
students. I download videos on the you tube as the basis of my students
to understand more about the lesson. Creating instructional material like
power point presentation helps me to deliver my lesson well but there
are some glitches that I encountered during the discussion of my lesson.
I observed that my students have a background on the topic but they
cannot express themselves well. I come up to create an assignment for
me to identify their knowledge and skills about the topic that I discussed
during our synchronous session. This second demonstration teaching has
a great impact to me as a practice teacher.

Maybe I experience many problems along the way but I realized that in
the end of these problems make me a practice teacher that is willing and
determined to go out on my own comfort zone. In this it makes me
realize that a teacher is not only the driver on its own car instead he
needs his students to help him to grow as a full pledge educator in the
near future. Lastly meeting different students with different status in life
is the most memorable experience for me as a practice teacher because i
believe that you cannot teach by books only instead you touch the lives
of your student and with that they can remember as good and caring
teacher that help them to reach their goals in life.
