Introduction: -
My name is Yash kamleshkumar Patel and I am a resident of Himatnagar, in the state of

Gujarat, India. I am writing this Statement of Purpose to pursue a Post-Graduate Certificate in
Cybersecurity from Sault College in the province of Toronto, Canada. I have had appeared
for IELTS on the 13th of February 2020 and scored overall 6.0 bands with 6.0 bands in
Listening, 6.0 bands in Reading, 6.0 bands in Writing and 6.0 bands in Speaking.
I completed my SSC in march 2012 by attaining 77.6% and completed my HSC in march
2014 by attaining 47% from Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.
After I completed my schooling, I started Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in computer
science from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur with CGPA 5.09 in April
2018. During my bachelors, I studied subjects like Computer Organization, Industrial
Economics, Database Management System, Computer Networks, Java Programming,
Software Engineering, Computer Architecture and many more.
Work Experience: -
After completion of my graduation, I joined Devlaxy Infotech. as a “PHP Developer” on 5th

October, 2018. And I am serving on the same position till the date. During my work
experience I realised that this field has excellent opportunities and that the Bachelor’s Degree
which I had studied just gave me an overview and the work experience made me realise that
an expertise in the right direction can take me a long way. I was always fascinated by
numbers and my work experience also made me realise that I love doing this, hence I decide
to take up a higher qualification so I could open up my career opportunities.
Why Cybersecurity-Canadian Context (5911)?
In the present scenario, Cyber Security is becoming one of the finest options to pursue my
career. The prime reason is the growing demand of the experts across the globe since last few
years. It is one of the Information Technology domains which are becoming more and more
challenging. Due to the rapidly increasing Cyber Attacks across the globe, organizations are
looking for the professionals who can help them in tackling the same. Enrolling as a
technology student I can work both physically and virtually for any company all around the
world. This kind of technical course offers a boundless opportunity to learn new things and
be updated in this era of technology.
Cybersecurity enhances a student with professional skills with Intrusion detection, Malware
analysis and reversing, Programming know-how, Risk analysis and mitigation, Cloud
security and Security analysis. It is a suitable course for graduates who are interested in
employment in the field of computer and Technology. This program is suitable for me to
meet the entry requirements and seek a career as a Cybersecurity specialist in highly reputed
company. This course offers the opportunity to gain crucial life-long learning and
transferable generic skills. Hance I decided to study Cybersecurity.

Canada offers one of the best learning environments for students all over the globe. The
education system is more on the practical side so that it becomes easier to understand the
concepts. The tuition fees are also on the lower side compared to other developed countries
like the USA or Australia. Canada is consistently ranked among the top 10 countries in the
United Nations Quality Index. Canada spends more per capita on its education system than
any other country according to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and
Development (OECD). Apart from that, Canada also offers a post study work permit so after
completing my studies the international work experience along with practical education, will
help me immensely to get success anywhere around the world. Canada has a very vibrant and
multi diverse culture, safe cities, outstanding education and health care facilities, an
entrepreneurial spirit, world-class cultural talent, and an attractive lifestyle. Hence, it can add
value to my resume not only through international education but also through international
work experience.

The course of Cybersecurity offered by College provides the individual seeking knowledge
and certification in computer and network related administration and security. the program
will help me to develop competence in the area of communication and support training. I will
also develop my skills and understand how to configure computer and network technologies
such as cisco routers and switches, server virtualization, network services and security
technologies. Overall, this college will provide a full learning experience in terms of end-to-
end Cybersecurity and will make me understand the importance of technology and software
applications in facilitating and supporting Cybersecurity execution.
Future Plans: -
As an international student I will be eligible to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit in

Canada. In this duration, I will make sure to work with full integrity and understand the
international working practices. It will expand my horizon and help me when I come back to
India. As going to be a part of a Sault family, and after being a capable security manager with
well trainers and well-studied subjects, I will be a post-graduate in Cybersecurity. My primary
need is to gain valuable experience at inte59rnational level. This experience will help me to
get jobs in reputed Multi-National Companies in India. Cybersecurity is one of the most
important fields of computers and considered as the mediator of all other fields in the
Computing sector. Apart from that, I will get Potential titles such as CEH: Certified Ethical
Hacker, CISM: Certified Information Security Manager, CompTIA Security+, CISSP:
Certified Informational System Security Professional, CISA: Certified Information Security
Auditor, etc. In the current market competition majority of companies are looking for a
skilled graduate, and having the International education and experience. It will surlily help
me to crack an excellent job at a higher position in reputed company with a very good pay
scale.
Family Background and Reasons to Return to India: -
I belong to a higher-middle-class family. My father’s name is Kamleshkumar Patel is a

Teacher and my mother Diptiben Patel is also Teacher. I have one elder brother his name is
Vraj Patel. He is currently studying in Canada. I am the younger one. My Family has inspired
me and shaped my career and I want to provide them the best of the convenience the world
has to offer. Being a younger child, I am emotionally attached to my family and I have all the
responsibilities adhering to them as a son. Thus, after completing my program with
distinguished grades, I have a very profound sound of sense of obligation to return to my
country to strongly enhance in the Indian computing world and take care of my family.
