THE DALAHICAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL’S FIRST AID PRACTICES.
Ian Israel T. Atienza
Abstract
Unintentional injuries as well as sudden sickness is one of the important noteworthy reasons that lead to
impairments and mortality in children, particularly those who are in school age. From this standpoint, primary
school teachers’ knowledge about first aid is necessary in order to be prepared for providing first aid when needed
for children during school time.

A descriptive cross-sectional study will be applied on the primary school teachers of Dalahican Elementary
School. Dalahican Elementary School is selected and then the selected teachers will be participating the study.

A questionnaire composed of three parts was used, the first part included inquiry regarding social
demographic profile characteristic of the participants, and the second part included the questions concerning the
awareness, attitude and practices of first aid.
