JOB DESCRIPTION

Vacancy: Process Engineer x 2

Department: Press Shop

Reporting To: Press Shop Manager

Reportees: Indirect reportee

Purpose

Under the direction of the Shop Manager, make sure that production team always adheres to the
manufacturing processes as outlined on the process sheets and facilitates to enable them ( Production
Team) to meet the customer requirements in Delivery, Quality and cost. Also to identify the areas of
improvement in Technology, Productivity, Quality, Cost, Delivery and safety and to implement the
improvements.

Essential Duties
 Continuously improve processes utilizing lean manufacturing techniques to improve labor
efficiencies and quality.
 Take lead in quality related investigations, launches, and customer interface.
 Lead quality team and achieve quality objectives.
 Ensure quality standards are followed.
 Ensure quality parts are produced at all times.
 Assist in launching new programs by developing process flows, cell layouts, component flows,
estimating cycle times and labor requirements, and tracking builds
 Coordinate with APQP and engineers on new program launches and component changes.
 Assist in investigating customer and internal quality issues and implement corrective action plans
to improve our products and processes. 
 Complete equipment and system sizing calculations using process simulation and software
modeling tools as needed.

 Develop detailed data sheets and specifications for purchase of required process equipment and
systems.
 Complete preliminary project scopes and cost estimates for screening and budgetary purposes.
 Monitors new processes, including new equipment and tools, to ensure performance to
specifications is met before releasing new processes to production.
 Direct the implementation of process changes, and installation of any new equipment.
 Collaborate with plant Quality Control and maintenance personnel to ensure that processes and
equipment produce a product that meets Quality Control and Engineering standards.
 Review new and modified specifications for proper content, and controls timely introduction of
same into the manufacturing system.
 To develop competency of members in process planning and proving by identifying training needs
and arrange for training.
 To closely work with Operation, Quality & Project team for training of operators, team leaders,
resolving ramp up and quality issues, project delivery monitoring.
 Audit compliance to new specifications.

Job Qualifications And Experience Required


 Preferably Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial/ Production from
reputed Institute
 Minimum 5~8 years experience within Press Shop
 Process Developmental experience in Stamping shop ( Toolings & Dies) is must
 Soft Skills such AUTO CAD, MS Office is must
 Track record of experience in various manufacturing systems ( TPM, Lean, 6 Sigma) , facilities, sub
systems and maintenance
 Experience in implementation of continuous improvement (Kaizen) and waste elimination
activities, 4M, Root Cause Analysis etc
 Experience in Time and Motion Study, Layout Planning and other Industrial Engineering Function
 Experience in Process Planning and proving of new products/ Tools
 Exposure to advanced manufacturing concepts like low cost automation, SMED, Poka Yoke, JIT,
kanban, Lean etc.
 Support continuous improvements and problem resolution tactics.
 Strong time and priority management skills
 Good Communication skills
 Ability to plan and coordinate
