As the adage goes, "if you are going to teach or train up a learner or a young
child in the way you want him to be, and even if he will become older and older, he will
never forget those teachings," but the question is, Is the saying always true in all
aspects?
According to what I've just learned from Patricia Kuhl's link titled "The Linguistic
Genius of Babies," she has just discussed and shared those astounding findings and
ideas about the way these babies learn a single language over another language,
where she has stated and mentioned about the moment when they are listening to the
people around them, including the idea of "taking statistics" about the sounds they need
to know and learn. This is quite amazing, isn't it? And in the documentary, there were
Clever lab tests, including brain scans, that demonstrated how a six-month-old newborn
yet realistic. Now, the question is, what will be the implications, status, and future
consequences would be critical for me. This is due to the fact that the way we teach
languages in the Philippines will have to adapt to some changes and advances. Since
we just heard from the movie that these newborns may begin to distinguish their
languages on their first birthdays, as Kuhl indicated, the fact that he or she is not yet
enrolled in a formal school. Probably, I would also advise that instructors in the
Philippines should attend such webinars and training to obtain more and extensive
insights into this subject in order to become more skilled in teaching language
acquisition and its concepts. This is to ensure that young learners are not left behind or
mislead by outdated teaching methods; there are already established methods that will
