What I Want Is What I Get
By. Riza C. Bulos
Once upon a time there was a husband and a wife longing to have
children. One day, the husband Joey and the wife named Ruby went to
church to pray for them to have children. The husband prays to God they will
do anything just to have a child, so as the wife.
As they were at the door of the church they heard a loud cry of a baby
on the staircase, they saw a basket then immediately look for it and to their
surprise it’s a bouncing baby boy. They bring the baby to their home and
took good care of the baby and thank God for the gift to them. They named
him Boyet.
As years go by Boyet lives everything what he wants, anything even if
his parents could not afford it. His parents doubled their work just to bring
him to high class school.
One day Boyet came from school he loudly shouts to his mother and
said that he wanted to have a new phone the same as what his classmates
have but he doesn’t know that his father got fired from his work because of
being too old and not doing his job correctly. Boyet got mad and shouted
that if his parents will not give him his new phone he will kill them.
(The teacher will ask the following questions to further discuss the topic.
She will write the answer of the students on the board.)

#1 (Exploration) (Ans. FALLACY)
Again when we say fallacy, it is a mistaken belief, especially one based on
unsound argument.
A fallacy is the use of invalid or faulty reasoning in the construction of an argument. By appearing to
be better than it really is, a fallacious argument may be misleading. Fallacies may be committed
intentionally or unintentionally to manipulate or persuade by deception.
Don’t forget!
