Max232 and Power Supply Unit

The document describes a circuit board design with a MAX232 chip and power supply to provide 5V and 12V voltages. The circuit uses a LM7805 voltage regulator, 1N4007 diode, red LED, resistors, and capacitors to generate the voltages from an input. It concludes that the design will reduce costs and implementation time for microcontroller circuits by eliminating the need to include these common components in new designs.

Aim: - To design a board with max232 and required 5v and 12v power supply to drive other circuits such
that the same need not be built in new boards.

Circuit diagram: -

Requirement: -
1) LM7805
2) Voltage input terminal
3) Diode (1N4007)
4) Red led
5) Resistor (1Kohm)
6) Capacitors (0.33uf, 0.1uf, 5 x 1uf)
7) MAX232
8) Dot matrix board or pcb
9) Required connectors

Conclusion: - The circuit is designed because the further circuits which are to be designed using
microcontrollers can neglect repeatable voltage regulator and max232 implementation on it. This would
reduce the design cost as well as the time of implementation.
