RESUME GUIDELINES

1. Logo and Photograph


It should be recent white background colored photograph. The photograph should be
in college uniform and scanned.

2. Introduction
Do not mention the sub header as – “NAME”,”ADDRESS”, “CONTACT NO”

Provide the details in below format

3. Educational Qualification
Proper name of the college and place should be mentioned & in %age column
numbers should be mentioned with proper signs or details like – 76%, 8.0 CGPA or
8.0 SGPA

4. Academic Achievements
All the academic related achievements from +2 onwards will be mentioned with
proper details.

Please mention if you have attended any seminar or workshop that is also a part of
academic achievement.

5. Software Competencies
Students need to mention the details in a proper format. Mention the upgraded
version.

6. Projects And Training


You should mention in the details. It
a. In Technical part, No management system type of projects.
b. Team size and role should be properly mentioned.
c. Project description should be mentioned in points.

Project Guidelines for resume making

 Each student has to include 2-3 Major projects in resume.


 Title of the project should be carefully decided by the student if not allocated by
anyone else. Project name should not be like Management System, Library System,
choose a unique name for your project.

 There should be one or two advance technologies project in there resume like
python, ML, IOT, BigData, Hadoop, Network Security, Android, AnjularJS , NodeJSetc.

 Project detail format in resume should be like below:-

(i) Project Title


(ii) Technology
(iii) Development Environment
(iv)Role
(v) Project Description – short description

7. Interpersonal/ Hobbies NOT Acceptable A

The primary difference between hobbies and interests is that interests do not
inspire the same level of dedication that hobbies do. 
Surfing internet or watching motivational shows are not your hobbies, it could be the
interest.
Some examples for Hobbies are-

 Artistic activities such as painting or graphic design


 Community service
 Cooking or baking
 Outdoor activities
 Playing an instrument
 Team or individual sports
 Travel
 Woodworking or other projects
 Writing or blogging

Some examples for interest are-

 Making or listening to music


 Gaming
 Travel
 Art
 Nature
 Social causes
 Foreign languages
 Topical blogs or research
 History
 Theatre

These are just to make the students understand the difference between hobbies and
interest, you will write your own hobbies and interests.

8. Extra-curricular
All the cultural activities or sports activities will be mentioned in this with the proper
details from class +2 onwards.

9. Personal Information-]

Marital Status: - Married/Unmarried

For single – it will be unmarried

10. Declaration- Date & time will be on right side.

11. Font size

The font size will be 14 for headings and 12 for content and style will be Times New Roman
throughout the resume.

12. Proper punctuations, grammatical errors, formatting & alignment should be checked.
