Now it's time for you to do the task for this week. I invite you to check the instructions below.

Keep in mind that you have to present this homework during week 3.

2. Lesson Outcome:
Through this activity, students create a dialog talking about what they study by using
modals want and would like to and vocabulary from the unit 1. Then, they share it in a short video
(3 - 5 minutes).
3. Description:
Step 1:
Get together with a partner or a group of three.
Think of your college major. Each of you should write a list of important skills for your career
field and your ambitions using would like to/want.
Imagine you are a civil engineering student. Your list may be like this: For example:

Step 2:
Now that each of you has a list, create a conversation talking about your studies, skills and
ambitions.
Make questions to get further information. Remember to talk about the plans of all the
members in the group.
Example:
A: Hey friend! What are you doing?
B: Hello there, I’m designing a plan to finish all my activities for the weekend. It is
important to be methodical to succeed.
A: You are right, especially when you are a civil engineer. You also need technical and
interpersonal skills.
B: Yes, after I graduate, I would like to work in a construction company.
A: What company would you like to work?
B: …...........................................................
Step 3:
After you finish creating your dialog, practice it to check your pronunciation and intonation.
Step 4:
Record your conversation and, for the presentation, use the following structure:
Cover: Your names and last names must be there, include your photo. There are 2 options

Closing: Finish the dialogue by saying goodbye.
