the discussion. Write associated words with philosophy.

1. Answer the following questions.
a. Define philosophy. Explain what is unique about philosophical thought.
Answer: Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems, such as those
connected with reality, existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind and language. What
makes philosophical thought unique is its style. It is not just a usual thought of an
individual, but a thought with logics, reasonings, values, etc.

b. Do you think philosophy is important in the age of globalization? Why or why not?
Answer: I believe that Philosophy is significant in the age of globalization. Philosophy has
a contribute to the development of globalization. Due to the new unique ideas of many
Philosophers, people engaged in a philosophical thought, the global economy is
continuously increasing.
c. As a student, how can you live a life of abundance? Give examples.
Answer: I will possess the abundance mentality so that I won’t be envy to anyone
because of anything. I will be greatful for what I have and won’t ask for anything. I will
appreciate every little things. I will only think about the positive things. I will turn my
weaknesses into my strengths. I will share blessings that God gave me. I will not seek for
what I do not have, but will be contented for what I have. I will enjoy my life as I only live
once.
2. You are going to draw an event based on the Earth Hour program, an hour where cities
and landmarks turn off their lights. Write insights on your drawing regarding this question:
What are the implications of Earth Hour to being interconnected in a global society?
Answer: Earth Hour is a global grassroots movement uniting people to take action on
environmental issues and protect the planet. It is an opportunity for the people to turn off
their light. It helps to reduce energy consumption and carbon dioxide emission. It also
reduces the damage that we're doing to our planet, Earth.
