Shall be a minimum of 300#
Pump casing drain shall be flanged connections with isolation valve with flanged ends terminated at skid / base plate edge.
Self‐venting type centrifugal pumps are preferred. Pumps which are not self‐venting, shall be provided with vent
connections with isolation valve and terminated with flanged connections.
horizontal pumps shall be equipped with oil lubricated anti‐friction type
radial and thrust bearings
all pump bearings and gear bearings shall be oil lubricated. Pump bearings and gear bearings
other than anti‐friction type shall be forced lubricated.
-1” (25 mm) bulls‐eye level indicator shall be provided to monitor the oil level inside the bearing housing.
-Bearing Housings shall be supplied with bearing isolators.
-The bearing housing shall be provided with tapped connections for temperature and vibration measurement using portable
handheld devices.
-Lip seals shall not be used.
-The mechanical seal shall be as per API 682 and be selected based on individual pump design, pump
operating parameters, process conditions
-API seal type or classification (dual or single or tandem
design) shall be for each application approved by Yinson if not already at RFQ stage being predefined
for each set of service by Yinson.
-All Topsides pumps handling services as named: Hydrocarbon service, oily water, produced water
(PW) service, any toxic or hazard service like chemicals, amines, H2S, shall have double mechanical
seals.
-Mechanical seals shall be supported with API Plan 53B Auto top‐up provision of seal barrier fluid, and local API Plan 53B
seal panel ensuring pressurizing and cooling of the dual mechanical seal loop.
-Pump shall combine the use of throat bushing / wear rings, impeller balance holes or other means, and flush piping
arrangements to ensure a stuffing box pressure in excess of suction pressure and to provide continuous flow through the
seal chamber.
-Mechanical seal system (API plan 53B local panel) and lube oil system shall be mounted on the same skid as the
equipment.
-The mechanical seal systems shall be designed such that the interval between each top up / charging of the auto top of
unit is 14 days or longer, in case of several consumers in same area of module, common reservoir for automatic top ‐up of
local seal systems shall be aimed for, capacity for local accumulators is minimum 2 hours to accommodate start up and shut
down scenarios, and any loss of pressurised supply from top up unit.
-Natural air draught cooling type is the preferred option.
Coupling guards shall be made of spark‐resistant material. Seaworthy aluminum is acceptable being
surface treated and painted to offshore standard for such material.
