Duration: SY 2020-2021/ 1st Semester

Course Description: As mandated by Republic Act 1425, this course covers the life and works
of the country’s national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal. Among the topics covered are Rizal’s biography
and his writings, particularly the novels Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo, some of his
essays, and various correspondences.

It is the goal of BSBT COLLEGE, INC. through our Continuity Learning Operation
Plan for school year 2020-2021 to sustain the delivery of quality, accessible, relevant and

COVID-19 pandemic by adhering to the new learning modalities prescribed by the
Department of Education.

through this learning module. We have simplified the content yet profound to meet the
learning competencies required by the K-12 curriculum of the Department of Education.

LEARNING MODULE IN LIFE AND WORKS OF DR. JOSE P. RIZAL

Dear student,

As a student you are expected to take this module very seriously. It is well understood
that we are in a situation where activities must be well implemented because of the
protocols and guidelines in each municipality. But then, we are expecting you to
exert efforts in the activities, assessment and performance task that we will be asking you
to do. There would be a written performance as well as performance task that will be
mandatory for you to do. It is well notified that our situation is not stable there would
be a lot of interruptions such as lockdowns and of course there would also be changes
in the instruction about your activity. In this matter please do not hesitate to contact your
teacher and inform her/him about your situation.

We can assure you that all the activities would really be helpful in understanding
further in every lesson in this subject. Lessons are concepts, ideas, perspective and
definitions about Culture, Society and Politics. These lessons would also help you in
tertiary level with some of your general subjects such as gender and society.

In doing the module you need a lot at least 1-2 hours in every lesson to read understand,
analyze and answer truthfully the activities and assessments. You can ask help from
anyone you search or use other references to understand more but please make sure that you
will be the one to answer the module.
