User Info Track

The document discusses building a platform to track user information and behavior on websites. It would record details about users including time spent on pages and most viewed areas, and track actions like scrolling, clicking and reading. The design would include heat maps of mouse movement and clicks, recording of visitor sessions and replay of visits. User data like date of visit, duration and pages viewed would also be collected.

USER INFO TRACK

David Mutua (B135/20732/2020)

Decision-making based on data has been around for a long time. Even for larger, more mature
organizations, though, adopting this way to work can be difficult. It's simpler to keep going
without changing your perspective, especially when your everyday responsibilities don't allow
much space for fresh ideas. Here, I am trying making a platform that can track people’s details
and store them. In terms of user behavior, this is also true. You must go underneath data such as
time spent on your website and conversion rate to discover more about what influences your
success. It will also have to show the most viewed area and time taken. In some situations,
digging a little deeper than just looking at the data is required. User behavior, or how users
engage with your website, will provide the actual answers. The actions that website users
participate in once they arrive on your site are referred to as user behavior. Clicking, scrolling
down pages, reading blog posts, taking tests, and other activities are all possible. Even if two
people are looking at the same page, they may take quite different behaviors. In the absence of
good data, customers have different interests and behaviors that are difficult to forecast. It's
impossible to please everyone. Your work should satisfy the majority of your visitors. Various
methods for monitoring and managing user activity have been adopted, including: Log collection
and analysis, Kernel monitoring, video recordings of sessions, Keystroke logging, and Network
packet inspection.

Design for the project is to show the mouse movement heat map, mouse click heat map, record
visitors on your site, watch replay of their visits. Heat maps and visitors statistics included,
HTTPS and mobile support. Multi-domain, track multiple domains on a single server, regular
free updates based on your feedback. It should also show date of visit, visit duration and pages
visited. So for each user who visit with unique id is assigned that is only valid for the current
browsing session. Browser version and screen resolution may also be recoded. Window resizing
event and keyboard input on the fields have not been excluded from tracking.
