Size: The fish is about 10 cm/3.9 inches long

Material:
1. Crochet hook: 2.5 mm
2. Catania wool from Schachenmayr in three different colors
3. Fiberfill, sewing needle
4. Safety Eyes Size 8 mm

Abbreviations:
ch – chain
R – round or row
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
Number x sc – the number tells you how many times you make a single crochet in each stitch
inc - make two single crochet in one stitch
dec - crochet two stitches together with a sc
hdc – half double crochet
dc – double crochet
2dc – crochet two double crochet in one stitch
tr – treble crochet
2tr – crochet two treble crochet in one stitch
BLO – back loops only

sc with color change: change the color on this sc (when you make this single crochet stitch,
grab the new color of your wool and pull it through the two loops on your hook).

Note: Unless otherwise stated, the parts are worked in rounds. Instead of 2 chains for the
beginning, you can also use the magic ring. All fins are crocheted directly to the fish.

To mark the beginning of the rounds, take a strand of yarn (running stitch marker) in
contrasting color. When you finish the last stitch of your round, drape the strand to the
other side. When the crocheted part is finished, you can simply pull out the strand.

Head and Body


Starting at the head with color 1 (this color should be slightly lighter than the rest of the
body)

R 05 5 x sc, now insert a thread to mark the position of the eye (Safety Eyes) ,
9 x sc, insert a second thread for the eye, 6 x sc (20)

R 08 23 x sc, sc with color change to color 2 (24)

R 26 flatten the piece a little bit and crochet the two sides together with 9 x sc,
s. Picture, turn

R 27 3 x ch, starting in the same stitch with 2tr, then crochet into the next stitches:
dc, hdc, sc, sl st, sc, hdc, dc, 2tr, 3 x ch, sl st in the same stitch in which the
trebles were crocheted, cut and sew threads.

Side fin crocheted to the fish (right and left)


Start in the front loops of R 10 with color 2, see picture

R 01 3 x sc, ch, turn (3)


R 02 inc, sc, inc, ch, turn (5)
R 03 sc, hdc, 2dc, hdc, sc + sl st in one stitch
cut thread and sew it

Dorsal fin, crocheted to the fish


Start on the top of the fish, see picture

For orientation: At the bottom of the fish you can see the color changes.
R 01 sl st, sc, hdc, dc, 5 x 2tr, dc, skip one stitch, sl st,
Cut thread and sew it

Anal fin (rear fin below) crocheted to the fish


Orientation: From the rear fin starting at the color change, skip 2 stitches, see picture

R 01 sl st, 3 x ch, tr in same stitch, 2 x 2tr, skip one stitch, sl st
