Save to File
This action allows the technician to create an html file that can be mailed to a coordinator who can
generate the passwords and email the passwords back to the technician.

When Save to File button is clicked, a standard Save As window will display allowing the user to save the
file where they desire. Once the location has been selected, click the Save button. The software will
inform the user that the file has been saved. Clicking OK will complete the process.

Feature Protection System website. Clicking on this link will open the FPS tool and populate all the
information available. Corporate Web Security login is required.

Generate Passwords on Mobile Device
The Feature Protection System has a mobile website that can be used when cellular data is available, but
an internet connection is not.

Using the QR Tag

The CAT ET service tool screen provides a QR code along with the necessary data to generate the
password. Scanning this QR code with a QR reader will automatically populate the FPS Mobile website
with the password data, similar to clicking the hyperlink as described above. This will start the password
generation process and provide the passwords that the user can then type back into the CAT ET service
tool to complete the configuration change.
