Introduction

The main focus of this paper is to prepare a reflective journal that represents the

personal learning process and experience throughout the business project. With the

help of this paper, individuals can learn about my journey and experience during the

business project and how I collaborated with my colleagues to come up with accurate

and effective information.

Personal contribution to the topic selection, problem definition, writing of

research topic approval submission, team charter, and research questions

Before the selection of the project topic, our team had a great discussion. I actively

participated in the discussion and present my viewpoints and consideration regards the

different project topics. With in-depth discussion, I and my team members collectively

find out the research topic and decided to distribute the roles and responsibilities to

work further. My experience regards project topic selection, problem definition, and

research questions development was outstanding. It is because I conducted an in-depth

evaluation of the student perceptions about the chosen topic. As a result, I got an

understanding of the viewpoint of other individuals towards the importance of the

selected topic and associated problems too. Based on my contribution and experience

in the initial stage of the project, I learned the importance of problem and research

question determination before carrying out the study. Also, I learned how to carry out

independent research to evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of the chosen research

topic. Apart from this, the experience gained through the initial stage of the research

problem enables me to learn the importance of preliminary analysis before carrying out

the final study. As a result, I can apply the learned skills and knowledge in my

professional life and will come up with better and effective decisions.

Personal Contribution to the literature review report

According to the viewpoint of Xiao, and Watson (2019), the literature review is the

foremost important part of a business project as it represents the viewpoint of previous

research scholars. During the literature review report presentation, I researched

additional secondary sources which help me to gain significant insight into the chosen

research topic. My experience with the literature review part of the report was effective.

It is because I collaborated with Krishna (my group member) to review the secondary

research sources and guide other team members in writing the literature review

statements. After working on the literature review part of the report, I feel more attached

and linked with the chosen business research project as well as the team members. It is

because we are working collaboratively to deliver the best outcomes. Working on a

literature review report allows me to learn two important things. At first, I gained a

significant understanding of the importance of secondary research sources within the

research project. Secondly, I learned how to identify and review the available previous

research sources to collect relevant information for the research project. As a result, I

can say that the literature review report working improves my analytical and theoretical

skills that will prove beneficial in professional life.

Personal contribution to the research methodology report

I play an important role in designing research methodology for the business research

project. Zangirolami-Raimundo (2018) said that the research methodology part of a

research project is very essential. It is because the research methodology represents

research design and way of data collection adopted by the authors in collecting the

relevant research information. At first, I wrote the qualitative and quantitative data and

method part along with Krishna and Srikanth. By working on the qualitative and

quantitative data and methods part, I get an opportunity to gain practical and theoretical

information about the quantitative and qualitative data collection required to satisfy the

research objectives. Secondly, I designed a questionnaire for the research project. My

questionnaire designing experience was very fabulous. It is because I need to consider

and rate the viewpoint of different research respondents. After designing the

questionnaire for the project, I gained information about the different types of research

questionnaires and their suitability as per the chosen project topic. Apart from this, I

worked on data collection methods and data analysis, and findings preparation. My

active engagement in designing research methodology helped me to gain insight into

the different research methodologies and their efficiency within the project. After

working on the research methodology part, I feel confident. It is because I can

effectively resolve the concerns and queries of team members regarding any project

confusion. Also, the high-level team contribution motivates me to perform and reflect

well to design a research project as per the expectations.

Reflection on the research experience

Researching on "Student perception about the online delivery of accounting courses"

was a wonderful and useful learning experience. Also, I enjoyed the journey of business

research project along with the project team and colleagues. I received high support

from my team members to work on research methodology as well as the literature

review part. At the initial stage of the project, I was feeling issues in identifying the

effective secondary resources for the study. Under the guidance of my team members, I

reached to well-known and relevant academic research sources that enable me to

collect relevant data needed to answer the research questions. Before working on this

project, I did not have sufficient information about how to use the different research

sources and methodology to collect the required data and analyze effectively. It is

because I only have theoretical knowledge rather than practical. This business project

helped me to utilize my theoretical information and build new experience by gaining

practical knowledge about the application of research methodologies and analysis

methods (Snyder, 2019). During this project, I consider myself as both a learner and

contributor. It is because I was getting the relevant information about the perception of

students on the online delivery of accounting courses and contributing to collecting

required sources and information. As a result, effective team support and well-organized

research criteria guide me to perform well and learn about different research factors.

Reflection on sections provided learning opportunities about business research

In this project, I worked on both the literature review and research methodology

sections. I gave approx. 70% contribution to writing research methodology and 30% to

research additional secondary sources. The sections that provide me an opportunity to

learn about business research include; data collection method, questionnaire design,

and data interpretation. These sections allow me to learn about a business project and

contribute to answering research questions significantly. It is because these sections

contain the application of different research methodologies, tools, and techniques like

primary, secondary, MS Excel tools, and various others. Therefore, the knowledge of

these tools and techniques allows me to play the role of data analyst and various others

in the coming period. Apart from this, the additional secondary sources research also

allows me to learn about business research. During my professional life, I need to

analyze different external and internal sources to collect relevant information. As a

result, the research experience within the business project will improve my on-the-job

outcomes and efficiency.

Conclusion

Based on the above-mentioned information, it can be said that the business research

project gives me different opportunities to strengthen my practical as well as theoretical

skills. The knowledge of different primary and secondary research sources and data

analysis tools will improve my job outcomes in the coming period.
