Personal Data
My data processing career began by attending Control Data Institute's programmin
g course. Initially I held several computer operations positions with a variety
of organizations. I then started programming with a wholesale/retail organizatio
n.
The past 23 years I have been working as a contract consultant. During this tim
e I have managed multiple mainframe projects, written and maintained hundreds of
Cobol programs, and for the past several years I have installed, maintained, su
pported, and customized ChangeMan ZMF software on MVS mainframe platforms. I ha
ve extensive experience with ChangeMan ZMF including extensive experience with X
ML services.
Objectives
I am primarily searching for continued work as a contract consultant. I am inte
rested in Cobol programming opportunities or mainframe computer operations oppor
tunities.

As a consultant to a major university, I worked on updating Serena's ChangeMan Z
MF from 5.3.4 to 6.1.1 including all versions in between.
Northwestern Mutual
Insurance Company
Location: Milwaukee, WE 1/05 - 12/09
As a consultant to an insurance company, I maintained Serena's ChangeMan ZMF. I
upgraded ChangeMan from 5.1.0 to 5.6.3 including all versions in between. I
helped install version 6.1.1 into a test environment. I did extensive customizat
ions to ChangeMan to support the client environment including the development of
an automated interface to HP ChangeManagement software (Peregrine) using MQ.

As a consultant to an insurance company, I maintains Serena's ChangeMan ZMF. I
upgraded ZMF from 5.3.1 to 5.3.4. Other activities include support converting
major insurance applications from a Panvalet environment to ZMF.

Managed a project to implement ChangeManagement. This project included the plann
ing and coordination of the installation and implementation of ChangeMan and JCL
PREP. Included in this project was the migration of all source to these produc
ts. I also worked with CA7 and CA11.

Assisted in the implementation of the DB2 option of ChangeMan. In 2007 I was co
ntracted part time to convert client custom code using API, RPG, and direct read
of package master VSAM to Cobol XML services code.

Worked on a project to downsize MVS mainframe applications to IBM's RS/6000. Usi
ng Micro-Focus COBOL, C, and TCP/IP the project was designed to convert mainfram
e COBOL and PL/1 programs to run on the RS/6000. I also manage a project to mig
rate all source code and JCL to SCLM

As a consultant to a financial services company, I provided day to day operation
al support to a DOS/VSE environment. Implemented DOS/VSE tape, disk, and JCL man
agement software and converted all production jobs to utilize this software. Dev
eloped and executed a plan to convert from DOS/MVT to DOS/VSE.

As a consultant to a utilities company, I managed a DOS/VSE to MVS/XA conversion
project.
