    Discuss the 5’S of Housekeeping

    Housekeeping refers to the management of duties and chores involved in


    Abstraction the running of a household, such as cleaning, cooking, home maintenance,
    (20 mins.) shopping, and bill payment. (See TLE 9 LAS, Quarter 2, Week 4)

    Five steps for a systematic technique for good housekeeping:

    Seiri (Sort) – Distinguish between necessary and unnecessary items.

    Seiton (Set in order) – Enforce the dictum ‘a place for everything and
    everything in its place’

    Seiso (Shine) – Clean up the workplace and look for ways to keep it clean.

    Seiketsu (Standardize) – Maintain and monitor adherence to the first three


    S’s.

    Shitsuke (Sustain) – Follow the rule to keep the workplace 5S-right. Hold
