INTERESTING TOURIST DESTINATIONS IN MALAYSIA

If you find yourself in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur, and wish for a
brief escape from the ultra-urban environment and very humid weather, Cameron
Highlands makes a perfect getaway destination. Cameron Highlands is one of the most
popular tourist destinations in Malaysia. It is the biggest and arguably the best highland
resort in Malaysia. Situated in the northwest section of the Pahang State of Malaysia,
Cameron Highlands was an important hill station during the British colonial times. These
days, it’s a popular holiday spot especially for jaded city dwellers of Kuala Lumpur.

For those who prefer a holiday with cool weather, Cameron Highlands are the
best choice. Popular among both locals and tourists, it provides a cool respite from the
sweltering heat of the lowlands. Visiting a tea plantation is the top thing to do in Cameron
Highlands. My family and I visited the Sungai Palas Boh Tea Plantation which offered an
educational tour of the tea factory. To reach the Plantation’s Sungai Palas Tea Centre, we
had to drive on this very tricky and weaving one lane road. A very skilled and smart
driver is needed to pull this one off. No visit to a tea plantation is complete without
sipping a cup of tea while enjoying the view of the plantation.  We had a lovely English-
style breakfast with aromatic tea, scones and pastries at the Boh Tea Centre at Sungai
Palas.

Besides that, the most thing I love about Cameron Highlands is their strawberry
farms. It is the other top attraction in Cameron Highlands. There are many strawberry
farms and open for all visitors to visit and buy fresh strawberries. Many farms offer to
pick your own strawberries and sell different strawberry food products. There are three of
the most popular strawberry farms where visitors can do interactive visits are Big Red
Strawberry Farm in Brinchang, Kasimani’s Farm close to the Golf Course and Raju Hill
Strawberry Farm near Kea Farm. If you want to know people of Cameron Highlands have
associated themselves very closely with this fruit. In Cameron Highlands all souvenirs
come in strawberry prints, and they also have strawberry jams even pillows.

One of my favourite place when I went to Cameron Highlands is Brinchang night

market, locally known as “Pasar malam”. It normally opens on Friday and Saturday but
during Malaysian school holidays, it opens every night. At there we can found so many
food as like  strawberries, vegetables, and fruits. Naturally, the market is full of these
products and their variations. Their prices are considerably cheaper than in Kuala
Lumpur. There were also many stores selling vegetable fritters, crab fritters and prawn
fritters. My favorite is definitely the chocolate covered strawberries on a stick. Walking
through the Brinchang market was fascinating and fun.

In conclusion, Cameron Highlands worth to visit especially who loves nature.

Cameron Highlands provided me with the scenery and atmosphere to relax and calm my
mind. The place are so peaceful and it is refreshing to be out of the city, to see more hills
and trees than cars and skyscrapers, and to breathe fresh air complemented by a
comfortable climate.
