PREPARATION

First Activity: Video Presentation about CTU: University 4.0

Guide Questions:

(1) What salient feature of the video presentation has caught your interest and why?
Upon watching the video presented about CTU, what really caught my attention and interest
is about the achievements and competitiveness of the campus especially in different community
programs and also the different facilities offered in the university. I was amazed how the
university shapes the students into a competitive individuals through different community
programs bringing honor and pride in the University. I was also intrigued by the university's
facilities because it was so much better compared to my previous school.
(2) What message does the video express?
The video expresses a sense of patriotism and kindness to the community and the society
and also it gives us a message that CTU shapes their students to become a better individual not
only for themselves but also for the society.
(3) What Four Functions does CTU promote in terms of community development?
The four functions that CTU promotes in the aspect of community development are the

Vision

A premier, multidisciplinary-technological university.

Mission

The University shall primarily provide advanced professional and technical instruction for special
purposes, advanced studies in industrial trade, agriculture, fishery, forestry, aeronautics, and land-based
programs, arts and sciences, health sciences, information technology and other relevant fields of study.
It shall also undertake research and extension services, and provide progressive leadership in its areas of
specialization.

Goals

The University shall produce scientifically and technologically oriented human capital equipped
with appropriate knowledge, skill and attitude. It shall likewise pursue relevant research, strengthen
linkage with the industry, community and other institutions and maintain sustainable technology for the
preservation of the environment.

Outcomes

PRACTICE

Activity: Playing of CTU Hymn

Exercise 1: ‘’Pick A Line’’

Instructions: Choose a line from the CTU Hymn that relates to the VMGO of CTU. Explain the line you
have chosen and present a concrete example that you have experienced and will be experienced in your
stay at CTU.

As I digest the CTU hymn and read it’s message to everyone, I’ve choose the line “ Learning, ever
yearning to set out in new directions”. For me, this line have a meaning that relates to the CTU's VMGO.
As a premiere multidisciplinary-technological university with a goal of producing a scientifically and
technologically oriented individual equipped with appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes, this line
that I’ve chosen reminded me with this goal of the university. Based also on my experience being a CTU
student, this university is the right place to be able to develop yourself, be competitive enough and well
equipped when future comes.

PERFORMANCE

Individual Output: ‘’Promotional Campaign for CTU’’

Instructions: Utilizing the students multiple intelligences, present a promotional video campaign for CTU
through a video presentation, jingle/song, poster or slogan, poetry, etc. . The promotional campaign
must be reflected from the CTU’s VMGO and meet the following criteria.

ASSIGNMENT

Activity: ‘’Hugot CTU’’

Instructions: Make your personal Hugot Line for CTU that relates to its VMGO. Explain your Hugot to the
class and make a stand of it. Send your Hugot Line through ODILO.

“CTU is the answer for a brighter future, through its efficient, effective and quality education together
with self-discipline.”

My hugot line for CTU that relates to the university’s VMGO is what you can see above. I believe
that going to CTU means a brighter future as I’ve observed that many successful persons is a product of
CTU and this was proven through different achievement of the school, all those board passers that
brings pride to CTU and the high requirement of the university when recruiting students. Also, quality,
effective and efficient education was offered to the students and how the university shapes the
discipline of the students through various community programs is an excellent reason why I said in my
hugot line that CTU is the answer for a brighter future.
