Dance Report

Ce dance
For the concert report I saw jolly high dance company. What really stood out to me was that
they never fell or made a mistake once I knew dance concerts are a lot of work with learning the
dance and having to do tech week because I was in ballet a long time ago and I can remember
the stress it caused. To me when I was three years old. Their dances always had a meaning or
story behind them that really stood out to me. At least one of the dances was one about how
everyone is always on their phones texting or taking selfies and not taking time to focus on them
Selfs. Their dances really show meaning and emotion which some shows, and plays do not
show enough of they really wanted to show that you have to look up from your phone to find
people around you. There dance had a lot of emotion and there costumes were red and had
white wigs and they all looked the same to prove that a lot of people like to act like the same
person which i really liked because in high school a lot of the kids change how they act so that
they can be popular and they all kind act the same there show was called things change and i
feel like it was represented a lot during the whole show and a lot of the dances were about
changing society and just letting things change. The performance was lively evidenced by the
various features. The performance did make most of the people in the audience scream. Even
the crowd was cheerful as the performance went on and it showed that the crowd was moved
by the performance. However the dancers looked organized from the way they were entering the
stage. I expected a lively performance that could ignite the audience from the beginning to the
end. the dance was well executed and the dancers had mastered their movements. They
were all going with the same rhythm during the dance. The costumes of the ladies.. As
evidenced in the dance, their movements are an illustration of common choreographic
movements that have become common in competitions today. It really brought me to

the edge of my seat and i wondered how the rest of the dance was gonna go and it kept
the audience pulled into the show and the music and a lot of the student dance teachers
were amazing with the dances they put together and showed they could do more
amazing things and make incredible dances that they never knew they could do that .
each of the costumes matched the dance that it was given to and the dancers gave
character to the dances. And then added the hair and make up and it just brought out
the best in the whole dance show and made a lot of people want to watch and not seem
bored. Dancing can uplifts someons mood causing them to have a better day. Dancers
frequently smile while participating in dance because they are having fun and it feels
amazing to dance. Alot of dancers like being creative and i saw it a lot in the show.
There was a lot of different dance styles in the show and you could tell they had fun
doing each and everyone of the dances they were given without trying not to do the
dance or cry about it. Also a lot of balance was seen when the dancers did most of
there dances through carrying the other dances without falling or dropping the other
dancer. The dancers used many gestures like hands and movements like their trying to
lure the audience in to understanding the dances their doing . the gestures were simple
but connected well with the audience. The rhythm of the dance was like a pattern that
followed the mood of the dance to demonstrate motion, optimism , distress and
discouragement. The rhythmic movement were so in sync that they were so on beat
with the tempo of the music all of the time i did create a story while watching i created
the story of that everyone was the same and then something happened and then
everyone wasnt the same and they all acted different so it wasnt the same like people
need to change in the real life and not care how others are and be yourself and not
wonder how others will look at you. Thank you for reading my concer report.
