Love is equal.

Love is unconditional.

Love is eternal.

“Where there is love there is life.”- Mahatma Gandhi

 I thought love have different level in types of love we have,

like storge or love for parents is superior than the other

types of love.

 I learned about the types of love and what they are called.

Eros (sexual or passionate), philia (friendship), storge (for

parents), agape (for strangers, nature, and God) ludus

(uncommitted), pragma (passion), and philautia (self-love).

Philosophy is “ The Mother of Sciences.”

The culture of philosophizing is life sustaining.

“Wisdom begins in wonder.” - Socrates

 Empirical Sciences - deals with the general aspects of the

world and uses scientific method. Ex. biology,

astronomy, physics, chemistry.

*(Observation > Question > Hypothesis > Results > Conclusion)

 Social Sciences - deals with the human society and

behavior and uses quantitative and qualitative design


method. Ex. psychology, political science, economics,

sociology.

 I have learned about the culture of philosophizing.

Experience, wonder, ask questions, seek for answers,

answer, application, and re-evaluate.

 In Philosophy, questions are more important than answers.

 We always need to re-evaluate our answer so we don’t get

stuck.

Who are the present Pilosopong Tasyo and Indios?

 In my opinion, the present Pilosopong Tasyo are the

scientists and who are in the medical field. The Indios are

people who are saying covid-19 isn’t true and doesn’t want

to get vaccinated.

Ethics are only applied to human.

“Ethics is the universal or absolute standard of human

actions that is based on reason.”

 In Philosophy, morality and ethics are concerned with what

is good and bad and what is right and wrong.

 Definition of Ethics - “The categorically normative science of

human actions, pursued in accordance with the natural light

which reason casts.”

1st Element: Universal and absolute standard

2nd Element: Of human actions


3rd Element: Based on reason

Fundamental Concepts in Ethics

 Immoral - Violation of moral laws. Ex. Stealing, lying,

killing.

 Amoral - No sense of morality. Ex. Infant, serious mental

disorder.

 Non-moral - Out of the realm of morality. Ex. Rotation of

the earth, raining, typhoon, earthquake.

 Human Acts - Essential elements of a human act are

knowledge, freedom, choice (KFC).

 Acts of Man - Action performed by a human being but

without reflection and free consent. Ex. Digesting food,

instinctive reaction to some external stimulus (more

like a reflex).

decisions.
 It is how countries are govern.
 Everything that we do is political.
 There is no such thing as apolitical.
 Criminal liability and civil liability.
 Communal obligation.
