1. What did you feel after executing a dance exercise?


 I feel tired and my body is sore. I also feel a little bit dizzy and hot.

2. Is it possible to incorporate any kind of dance into dance exercise? Why did you say so?
 Yes, because when I dance, my muscles are exercised and I feel like my whole body
is being worked up, so I exert energy and at the same time strengthen my muscles.

3. Aside from HipHop, what other forms of dance can be incorporated in a dance exercise?
 Zumba, ballet, and ballroom dance can also be incorporated as an exercise.

1. What is the importance of studying folk dances? How can you help in the
preservation of the folk dances?
 Folk dances portray beliefs, history, and traditions of the certain local place where
it originated. All in all, it is important because it is one of the forms of identities
because it mirrors a culture. It is the greatest inheritance which our ancestors
blessed and entrusted on us for us to learn on the way of their living which is
mostly on nature. It is important because it teaches us our origin and identity as a
community. It depicts how rich our history is and how it shaped and molded our
way of living on this day. Aside from those things, it is a way to preserve and enrich
the history of a society or a tribe. I can help preserve a folk dance of my place by
learning it and the story behind it. In that way, I will not forget it and I can even
share it to some people which in turn can share and spread it to the next
generation. And if we all do our part then we can also pass our rich culture to the
next generations.
2. Why is it important to know the basic steps in folkdance?
 A society cannot exist if there are no people, a singer can’t sing without his voice, a
painter cannot paint without a canvas to paint on, the same way, a folk dance
cannot be called folk dance without the basic steps in the performance. At the same
time, knowing the basic steps of folk dance can be a great foundation of us who are
learning and hoping to be a good dancer in folk dance someday. It can help us to
cope up on the higher level of steps in folk dance to be able to perform and execute
it better. And those basic steps we have can also be incorporated with the higher
level of steps in that case we can be easily learn the next steps in folk dance
3. What are the challenges that you have encountered while performing fundamental
steps in folkdance?
 I am not good in dancing so the hardest part is always when I am learning the steps
because I am not a fast learner when it comes to dancing. I was having a hard time
on executing the steps and I cant memorize immediately the steps that’s why it
keeps me more time to practice it.
4. Identify dance/s in your locality and classify them according to their categories.

 In our locality most adults love to dance ballroom and cha-cha while the young ones
love to dance hip-hop.
5. What are the benefits of performing folkdance in ones’ health?
 In dancing a folk dance, balance, flexibility and others are required, so when a
person dances a folk dance, their flexibility and balance skills are being enhanced
which in turn also enhances their blood circulation and exercises muscles.
