Advanced Placement Test Proctor
Rochester Community Schools, Rochester Hills, MI May 2022
● Proctored a number of AP exams at varying locations in Oakland University over the
course of the AP testing period.
● Assisted in the setup of each testing room prior to the administering of the assessments.
● Observed students in a variety of classrooms in order to make sure that the testing
process was smooth and orderly.
● Collaborated and worked with fellow proctors and the Rochester Adams Guidance
Counselors to set up workspaces and ensure that all AP processes were being followed.

High School Student Teaching


Rochester Adams High School, Rochester Hills, MI September 2021 – April 2022
● Observed and taught with teacher Jack Beall, helping them create lesson plans, plan out
curriculum, and solve logistical problems that popped up with technology.
● Taught US History and Current Issues
● Designed a unit in Current Issues with the assistance of Jack Beall.
● Created full lesson plans and taught them to students, created and graded assignments,
fielded student/parent emails, took in-person attendance, and provided troubleshooting
assistance for a variety of online platforms (Zoom, Canva, Google Suite, etc.).
● Assisted students in preparing for upcoming AP assessments
● Developed four different unit assessments for the US History class that allowed students
to consider historical questions and express what they learned.

High School Field Placement


Grosse Pointe Virtual Academy, Grosse Pointe, MI January 2021 – March 2021
 Observed US History, World History and Government teacher Kellie White, studying
how she brought the curriculum to her students and his overall demeanor with his
students.
 Assisted with minor technical difficulties resulting from education being remote (zoom
difficulties and problems with Schoology).
 Assisted with the supervision and structure of small groups
 Built multiple lesson plans related to source analysis.

Eighth and Ninth Grade Field Placement


Utica Community Schools Virtual Academy, Utica, MI October 2020 – December
2020
● Observed seventh and ninth grade teacher Michelle Curtis. Focusing on how she
managed the classroom and built relationships with students.
● Helped students with small group discussions, helped students analyze their own
understanding, taught studying techniques, and helped with technological difficulties.
● Operated small groups based upon the AVID tutorials. Aided students in peer
understanding through inquiry-based peer mentoring.
● Prepared materials for students; found examples of literary texts and additional math
practice problems that cover relevant topics.
● Tutored students in Geometry, English and AP World History; informed students of how-
to best study for the AP World History exam
