AutoCAD Assignment No.

2 – Modify Commands

Q1. This exercise shown in Figure Q1 is mainly about applying the TRIM command
the proper way and learning how to create polygons in AutoCAD. You will have
to apply a fillet radius of 10mm where necessary.

Q2. Create the circular pattern of the Hub shown in Figure Q2 using the ARRAY
command in AutoCAD. You will also have to use the FILLET command to round
the shape of edges.

Figure Q2 (a): Hub profile. (b) Additional information.

Q3. The exercise shown in Figure Q3(a) will help you learn how to create parallel lines in
AutoCAD using the OFFSET command and will also help get use with other ways of
creating circles. It is to be noted that you will also have to learn how to play with the
ROTATE command in AutoCAD, the one that helps rotate objects. It is for this
reason that in Figure Q3 (b) you have been given angles which you will have to figure
out how to make use of.

exercise.

Q4. Figure Q4 shows a conceptual profile of propeller blades. This exercise will help
practice how to create symmetric objects in AutoCAD.
