SUBJECT: DISTRICT POSTER AND SLOGAN MAKING CONTEST IN THE
OBSERVANCE OF FIRE PREVENTION MONTH
DATE: March 23, 2022
1. This office announces the conduct of the District Poster Making and Slogan Contest on the
observance of the Fire Prevention Month on March 29, 2022 at ALD Function Hall, Sta.
Remedios, Bulan, Sorsogon.
2. The objectives of the activity are:
a. Increase public awareness of the causes of fire incidents and to observe all safety measures;
b. Showcase the artistic ability and talent of students and teachers through poster and slogan
making contest in the observance of the Fire Prevention Month;
c. Discover the creativeness and talent to convey a message and self-expressions through
poster and slogan making contest.
3. The theme of this activity is Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog, Hindi ka Nag-iisa”
4. The participants to this activity are the grades IV-VI Pupils, grade VII-XII students, and
elementary and secondary school teachers of Bulan IV District. No registration will be collected
from the participants however, the participants will bring all the needed materials during the
contest.
5. There shall be two contest categories to be facilitated during the District Poster Making and
Slogan Making Contest:
SLOGAN MAKING CONTEST POSTER MAKING CONTEST
Elementary Pupil Category Pupil Category

6. GUIDELINES AND CONTEST MECHANICS
A. Poster Making Contest (Pupil and Teacher Category)
a. The poster must be drawn/illustrated in a 1/4 size illustration board.
b. Poster shall be made using pencil and oil pastel only. All colors are accepted
c. Participants will bring their own art/coloring materials.
d. All participants should be in the venue before the contest starts for the briefing.
e. Poster making must be finished within two and a half hours (2.5) on the contest proper.
f. Participants must be identified through its poster number during the judgment.
g. Entries will be weighted based on the following criteria:
I - Relevance to the Theme 40%
II - Visual Impact 30%
III - Originality _____30%____

h. There will be 3 winners in each category (Pupils and Teachers). Each will receive the
following:
First Place -trophy and certificate of recognition
Second Place -certificate of recognition
Third Place -certificate of recognition
i. The rest of the participants will receive certificate of participation.
j. The decision of the judges is final.
k. Winners will be announced during the closing program.
B. Slogan Making Contest (Pupil Category)
a. The slogan must be made in a 1/4 size illustration board.
b. Slogan shall be made using pencil and crayon only. All colors are accepted.
c. The slogan shall be written in Filipino and the words used shall not be more than 15 words
and a minimum of 10 words.
d. The participants will make their own slogan based on the theme “Sa Pag-iwas sa Sunog,
Hindi ka Nag-iisa”
e. Participants will bring their own art/coloring materials.
f. All participants should be in the venue before the contest starts for the briefing.
g. Slogan making must be finished within one and a half hours on the contest proper.
h. Participants must be identified through its slogan number during the judgment.
i. Entries will be weighted based on the following criteria:
a. Relevance to the Theme 40%
b. Creativity and Originality 40%
d. Neatness ___20%__

j. There will be 3 winners that will be declared and will receive the following:

Second Place - certificate of recognition

k. The rest of the participants will receive certificate of participation.

7. During the conduct of the competition, wearing of face mask, social distancing and other health
protocol must strictly followed.
