ABSTRACT
Schools are important to be the best place and most important place of everyone’s life. In
today’s society, students intend to break the rules of school policy. What these individuals do not know is
that, the rules they intend to break is for their own safety. It is fundamentally important to develop policy.
Schools have policies for several reasons. Policies establish rules and regulations to guide acceptable
behaviour. Rules are the most significant part of the school, which is entitled for everyone to follow. There
has to be a learning process because children or teenagers tend to be irresponsible. School is to prepare you
for adulthood and in adulthood, you have to follow certain rules and regulations or you could be
incarcerated. School authorities have to update their understanding of security and implement new policies
and strategies. The world we are living in today is quite different from the one of decades ago, when most
policies have been written. Our society based on rules and regulations to maintain balance of morality.
Policies are important. Without school rules, students would be able to behave however they wanted to. All
rules and regulations have the same purpose, which they try to protect the lives of individuals. Rules in
schools serve several purposes. First, they establish boundary between people, provide a guide so that
students knows what is acceptable, safe behaviour and it requires them to learn to be responsible for their
own conduct and to creatively work within a system. Without rules, a school would be full of students in the
‘’ natural state of man ‘’. They would do whatever they wish. Everyone should follow their school rules
because it’s about learning punctuation and disciplines. We should follow rules to have disciplined society. If
one does not follow rules and do whatever he/she wishes to do, then there will be a chaos all around.
II. INTRODUCTION
A. NO ID, NO SCHOOL UNIFORM, NO ENTRY.
B. The researchers argues to agree that No ID, No School Uniform, No Entry should be mandatory.
C.The following reasons was found by the researchers that wearing ID and Complete Uniform can
make the students feels secure every time and it ensures our identity as students. It also improve students
performance by focusing on learning rather than fashion. Wearing school uniform and ID can make the
students get ready for school quickly and lessen the chances of missing school. It can also improve learning
by reducing distraction, sharpening focus on schoolwork and making the classroom a more serious
environment, allowing students to perform better academically. Wearing ID and school uniform brings
equality among students.
II. DISCUSSION
The first reason that the researchers found out is, wearing uniform increases student safety and
less on campus crime. According to Alexander Davidson, uniforms give schools a sense of identity and
cohesion, and school uniform is the right choice. He also stated that, school uniforms might not be the
answer for every school, but is definitely a start for improving our children’s safety and behaviour. School
Uniforms and ID are considered by the NCES to be an ‘’ indicator of school crime and safety.’’ And safety is a
primary advantage of school uniforms and ID.
The second reason is, school uniforms improve students performance by helping students focus on
learning rather than fashion. According to Principal James Covey, a veteran of Chicago Public Schools, stated
that when ‘’ students all wear the same outfit, they become less concerned about how they fit it. They can
concentrate on their schoolwork instead of how their outfit compares to what their friends are wearing.’’ It is
also said that the highest-performing students are the most disciplined. In addition, for countries where
students wear school uniforms, our study found that students listen significantly better.
The third reason is, if you’re wearing ID and School Uniform, the parents and students would not
spend time choosing appropriate outfits for the school day. According to a National Survey, over 90% of US
School Leaders believe that school uniform eliminate wardrobe battle with kids and can make it easier to get
kids ready in the morning and can create a time saving. Tracey Marinelli, Superintendent of the Lyndhurst
School District in New Jersey, credited the district’s uniform policy for reducing the number of students
running late. Lyndhurst student Mike Morreale agreed, stating that ‘’ It’s so much easier to dress than having
to search for clothes and find out that something doesn’t match.’’
The fourth reason is, wearing school uniform can improve learning by reducing distraction,
sharpening focus on school works and making the classroom a more serious environment. A study by the
International Journal of Educational Management showed that those who wore uniforms listened and
focused on learning than those without uniforms. Additionally, it is also showed that school uniforms can use
to affect academic performance and behavioural outcomes. When children are more focused on their school
works, academic performance will definitely increase. The US Department of Education also said that
wearing uniforms can help students focused on learning, discipline, and academic gains.
The fifth reason is, school uniform brings equality among students. According to The Chair of the
School Wear Association David Burgess, The SA believes that a distinctive uniforms brings a sense of
belonging and a sense of equality by wearing uniform among students from different socio-economic
backgrounds, without the pressure to buy expensive brands of clothes .Its latest study alongside Oxford
Brookes University and Psychologist Dr. Barbie Clarke prove this point. It found that wearing uniform
removes points of difference between students, thus unifying the student body, providing greater focus for
academic work, and offer a sense of belonging, equality and can aid academic concentration.
III. CONCLUSION
We conclude that there are many benefits in wearing school uniform and ID. School Uniform makes
students proud to be part of their school and it helps to form a unity in class. We passionately believe that
School Uniform and ID has a huge positive impact on a students journey through school system. In addition,
wearing ID and School Uniform can make the students to look presentable and feeling comfortable in school.
For these reasons, we believe that students should wear uniform and ID.
In conclusion, wearing uniform and ID gives the students a variety of benefits. Students are in school
for educational purposes and not to show off their outfits. Also school uniform and ID protects the rights of
the students, showing that everyone is equal. School uniform and ID avoid violence and discrimination. That
is the reasons why public schools should adopt a school uniform and ID.
