This service bulletin provides a work procedure for reprogramming the DX22 GEN ECU. The procedure involves: 1) Connecting a diagnostic tool to the engine ECU via an 8-pin connector and USB cable. 2) Downloading and installing the latest diagnostic tool software and registering as a user. 3) Connecting the diagnostic tool to the engine and applying 120 ohm resistance to enable reprogramming. 4) Using the diagnostic tool to reprogram the ECU with a new MAP version, and confirming that reprogramming is complete.

1. Background 2) Engine condition


- This Service Bulletin provides information for MAP reflash - Engine Power on and Key on (Ignition)

(reprograming) procedure of DX22 GEN ECU - 120Ω Resistance have to be applied on CAN1 and CAN2
wiring line at OEM responsibility side in DX22 Generator

2. Work Procedure
A. Preparation
1) Diagnostic tool (Name / Doosan Part no.)
- JIG SET;UVIM / 860104-07505

Connect to USB cable and 8PIN Connector B. Work Procedure


- JIG;8PIN Connector(CAN1&120OHM) / 860104-08016 1) Download DX22 Diagnostic tool program.

Connect to U-VIM and OBD

- JIG SET;USB CABLE / 860104-07506

- Recent version could be updated continuously


- If problem happens during download, please contact to

2) Software Installation 5) Program setting

- Engine(ECU) Power on and Key on (Ignition)


3) User Registration - Press START button
- Check CAN connection message at the lower left corner
“DX22 : Connecting-1000kbps”
- If program shows disconnecting message, check entire
wiring system.
6) Reprogramming with new MAP version

- Contact to DOOSAN Service manager for ID/PW registration


- Login to DX22 Diagnostic tool program

4) Connect JIG;8PIN Connector (860104-08016) to OBD


connector on Engine Main harness after removing
protection cover 7) Confirm reprogram completed message.
