SECTION 27 9000

APPROVED VENDORS LIST (AVL) - COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEMS

PART 1 – GENERAL

A. Where possible, common equipment items have been used across the different areas
of the development in order to simplify maintenance procedures and to provide the end
user with a consistent user interface method of operation and maintenance.
B. Wherever equipment is specified by manufacturer and or model number, it is for the
purposes of establishing a standard of quality, performance, construction and function.
Alternatives offered that fully meet the base specification and offer enhanced features,
functionality and levels of integration and meet the Operators approval where required,
will be considered, alternatives offered that do not meet the base specification will not
be considered. Contractors must, in all cases, provide a fully compliant bid. Alternatives,
where submitted, shall be shown as an optional bid and supported with associated
technical specifications.
