Let’s Get Started

Direction: Study the items that TeachThought posted entitled 60 Things Students Can
Create to Demonstrate What They Know.

1. If you are going to teach, select one output that you want your own students to do
after a lesson and why?

If I were to teach, I'd want my students to do a Speech output after a

lesson. I recognized that generating and reciting a speech output would be an
excellent approach to assess my learners' understanding of the lesson I just
taught them, and it provides me, as a teacher, with a new way to ensure that a
student understands the objectives of the lessons I delivered. Speech output,
on the other hand, not only allows individuals to express themselves (ideas and
opinions) and share what they've learned, but it also improves their writing
abilities, builds their confidence in public speaking, and helps them to practice
and polish the key competencies and vital skills.

2. What instructional materials or digital tools will you use to guide your students?

For a classroom-based lecture, I would use Slide Deck Presentation

because it is simple to develop and use, and I can incorporate video clips,
audio clips, and graphics that would give some sense to my lesson and likely
capture the learners' attention. I will also use traditional educational materials,
but I will innovate them to make them more effective and engaging. If it's online
learning, on the other hand, I'd employ online educational resources for my
class instruction. I can, for example, use Google Classroom or Edmodo to
assist my students with their homework because I can instruct and support
them on what they need to do at home. Another option for our online video
discussion is Google Meet and Zoom. Above all, I can use any teaching tool,
digital or analog, to guide my students. It depends on my adaptability and
flexibility in any situation.

Let’s Do This

A. Unfinished Sentences.
In terms of integrating technology in the lesson, what is your technology philosophy?
Directions: Finish the fragments by providing your personal ideas to continue the
thought.
1. I will use technology in my lesson plan when I have a lesson or topic that
technology tools are an effective means to use. Furthermore, when I teach both
online and face-to-face, it will help me be more flexible and productive with my
students, and it makes the teaching learning process more interactive.
2. In selecting a technology tool to be integrated in a lesson, I should assess
whether it is actually relevant to the topic or lesson, and then I will explore it
and its functionality.
3. I will implement technology tools to make my students connect with me
and their peers, which is a crucial component that can have a positive impact
on the teaching and learning process. Similarly, it would connect my students
with the digital tools they need to flourish as well as numerous useful advanced
technologies that they should be aware of, especially in this day and age where
technology is all around us and may help them succeed throughout their
education.
4. An example of technology integration in a lesson is making use of the
gamify learning experience. For instance, using digital scavenger hunts in the
classroom by presenting fact-checking questions that students must answer
online. Making a game out of it is a terrific way to include technology into the
educational process.
5. A creative way of using a mobile tool in a lesson is to use it for chat and
online discussion forums. Lecturers can exploit the group chat features of
mobile devices to create an online discussion forum to encourage class
participation on content topics, even outside the classroom. Students can chat
and discuss (with or without the lecturer) while at home or over the weekend on
a subject in class to increase their understanding of concepts.
B. Multiple Choice
1. Ms. Sheena dreams to invite a famous resource person from another country
but she can’t afford to spend for the transportation of the said person. How
could she integrate technology in her lesson and enable her class listen to that
person?

A. Podcasting
B. Instant messaging
C. Web conferencing
D. Distant communication

2. In technology integration, what should be our primary concern??

A. It must be new and user friendly.

B. It must be updated and relevant to Filipino setting.
C. It must stimulate and maintain student interest.
D. It must be suited to the lesson objective

3. Which is a good example of tapping the learners’ ingenuity in technology

integration?

A. They will be made to create a digital story of a certain topic and present it in
a class.
B. They will be made to listen attentively to the presentation that the teacher
prepared.
C. They will be made to comment on how to improve a certain presentation.
D. They will be made to bring computing tools to school such as mobile phones

4. If the teacher wants his/her learners to create an online journal, which do you
think would be the best tool to use?

A. Wiki
B. Blog
C. Email
D. Browser

5. All your learners are on Facebook. How can you ensure that they learn despite
constant use of this social networking site?

A. Prohibit them not to use Facebook again.

B. Create a Facebook page where you can post assignments and
supplementary materials for your lesson.
C. Post your photos and thoughts so they can comment on it.
D. Create a prank account ad stalk them to discover what they say and post
on Facebook.
