Aims to develop a local


sustainable sanitation plan to
address the different concern in
sanitation management to
address several health hazzards
specifically water-borne
(Local Policy) diseases
Policy Formulation
This is the plan for the hygienic and proper management, collection, disposal and reuse of
human excreta and community liquid wastes to safeguard the health of individuals and the
whole community in order to generate and support possible livelihood oppotunities so as to
ensure its sustainability.

Policy Adaptation
This in support with the Department of Health (DOH) Administrative Orders(AO) 2010-0021
entitled "Sustainable Sanitation as National Policy and a National Priority Program of the DOH"
and AO 2019-0054, "Guidelines on the Implementation of the Philippine Approach to Sustainable
Sanitation (PhATSS)", to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) on Sanitation.

Policy Formalization
Development started last October 2020 with the City Government, COWD and USAID-
SURGE Projects as Partners; To comply with the DOH Administrative order and in
support of the Sustainable Development Goal.
Policy Implementation
This plan contains strategies that can be implemented within the ten-
year period (2021-2030) to attain the targets of SDGs; and Implement
monitoring and maintenance program of the WASH facilities.

Policy Evaluation
To improve the implementation of LSSP activites, the LSSP team will plan
and conduct an annual monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities based on
the key performance indicators identified.
