“global village” in 1964 to describe the phenomenon of the world’s culture shrinking

village is controversial, though. On one hand, people believe that if it continues,
cultural globalization will lead to a dazzling marketplace where countries of all

the aid of less fortunate ones with humanitarian efforts.

ORAL COMMUNICATION

changes. The first and last thing that human could share is the ability to speak.

SCRIPT
• The very first writing- It allowed humans to communicate and share knowledge
or ideas over much larger spaces and across longer time.
• Writing has also its evolution from cave paintings until it leads to the creation

something. Ancient Egypt created a most popular paper named “Papyrus” with

THE PRINTING PRESS
• It is a device that allows for the mass production of uniform printed matter,
mainly text in the form of books, pamphlets and newspapers. Created in China,
the printing press revolutionized society there before being further developed
in Europe in the 15th Century by Johannes Gutenberg.

He created the device for applying pressure to an inked surface resting upon a
print medium such as paper or cloth and thereby transferring the ink.
