Class Prophecy
Class Prophecy
Dream lofty dreams, and as you dream, so you shall become. Your vision is the promise of what you shall one day be; your
ideal is the prophecy of what you shall at last unveil. When you make a mistake, don't look back at it long. Take the reason
of the thing into your mind and then look forward. Mistakes are lessons of wisdom. The past cannot be changed. The future
is yet in your power. I do`'t want what I am saying to sound like a prophecy or anything like an analysis of modern society.
These are only feelings I have, and I am the least speculative woman on earth. I wanted to rock back and forth between
myth and distant futures, yesterday, today, and tomorrow. It felt a bit like prophecy and a bit like storytelling. The fireworks
begin today.
Good evening to everyone who come in this anticipated event above all for the Seniors and Juniors. I, Shayne Hontiveros
speaking before you will construe my class prophecy for this 4th year batch 2010-2011. So let me lend your ears for a little
while.
It was September 19, 2021, 9:30 AM, I left the MTV Canada studio to go to airport for my flight this morning. While on my
way, I saw my old classmate Ms. Karla Marasigan better known as Lady Kei followed by some paparazzi. She became a
famous pop singer and dancer whose fashion was tremendous, notable and remarkable. She was Lady Gaga of our
generation. I once interviewed her for my show and she still knew me and vice versa. When we had time to gossip before,
she mentioned about Mr. Albert Muñoz who became an international action star in London. I remembered how talented he
was when we had our play. He was my leading man and it was such a great success. Maybe he was good at maintaining his
muscles in good condition. Haha! I confess now, there are no more doubts, many people noticed his acting talent then so
it`s not a big surprise for me when she told me about that. I also once interviewed Mr. Nathan Agnote, who is now a WWE
or World Wrestling Entertainment Heavyweight Champion. In my interview with him, he shared that he had fight with none
other than Mr. Tom Manuel Alvarado Dela Vega, who entered wrestling too. Shocked ha? So am I. I never ever thought that
they would become wrestlers and not just wrestlers but wrestler champions. He also shared that he was a fan of mine
`cause he loves music and that`s the reason we invited him to our show. He always visited the Philippines to teach guitar
lessons every other year, he added. By the way, I became a photographer and an international MTV VJ.
At the airport I caught Ms. Kenneth Quiñones who was before the most silent and speechless in the class became one of
the most famous lawyers in the Philippines. She shared about some of our old high school classmates. Mr. Joshua Cordez
became the 16th president of the Republic of the Philippines after becoming a senator. On the other hand, Mr. Marjon
Bundad became the 16th Vice President, he was still a bachelor. Ms. Jecelle Cabas, after 10 years of working with her diet
habit she became a famous Herbench model together with Mr. Jared Olino. It was very surprising but it was really so true.
Mr. Alberto Ogang Jr. became the WBC Super Welterweight World Champion. Aside from boxing, he had participated in
acting, music recording, and politics. In May 2021, he was elected to the House of Representatives in the 16th Congress of
the Philippines, representing the province of Cavite. He was the 2nd active boxer to become a congressman in the
Philippines aside form Manny Pacquiao. The old jolly gay became one of the strongest men in the world. Ms. Karen Angel
Colance became the model and spokesperson of Close Up toothpaste not only in the Philippines but all over the world. She
also pursued her engineering career and so she became an international engineer. She is Mrs. Alberto Ogang Jr. Yes, yeah,
oui, si, they got married and had 2 children. Kenneth ended her story when our flight was paged. We boarded on the same
plane.
I met Ms. Jhenny Nuñez, she was one of the stewardesses of the plane I boarded. She was more beautiful and oh so slim.
For a moment we talked about her lovelife, she was still single. She had so many suitors but there was only one name that
her heart was begging for, you all know who I`m talking about. No need to mention his name, right Mr. Albert Muñoz?
We arrived at the Philippines International Airport at 3:00 PM. I went to the mall for merienda. The mall was one of the
recently established buildings in the country. The construction was very well done and I heard that Engr. Colance was in
charge of it. After eating, I started to move around. I was amazed when I saw the portrait of the owner. It was Mr. John
Peter Casiano, who was still single. I wanted to laugh so hard when I heard it `cause before he was so kind of a play boy
but 10 years have passed and yet he was still single. So I moved on, I was holding my camera on position when I spotted a
familiar pretty face. It was Ms. Donna Fe R. Dagongdong. She was alone so we had a chance to chat. She became a
commercial model of a famous hair shampoo and an owner of 59 branches of party club nationwide. She informed me that
Ms. Melody Enoza with her husband purchased a fish company and that Ms. Evelyn Perez was the 1st top holder of Forbes
list of billionaires and once been featured on their magazine. Ms. Ericka Sta. Ana was happily married with 2 sons. She was
an owner of a cell phone company. Mr. Marco Calugay became the mayor of GMA Cavite. Mr. Evan-Job Evangelista became
a famous singer and a social networking site maker. He made the hit social networking site Monggister. Mr. Russel Dioso
owned a parlor with 21 branches in Luzon. Mr. Lawrence Lumbres became a Dermatologist and model of Ponds. Mr. Carlo
Vibal became a well-known Zoologist international. Mr. Mark Alim became a successful music artist with 5 gold platinum
albums. How glad I am to learn great things about my old classmates. After we talked I walked forward.
I went to a jewelry shop to buy a gift for Paolo for our approaching anniversary. There was a familiar face, it was Mr.
Alexander Gado`s face. Before we accused him of being a burglar but as years passed, he changed. He became an owner
of jewelry shop with many branches all over the world. He identified me easily. He came closer, introduced himself and
started talking about our other classmates. Mr. Mhads Jhun Abu-abu became a soldier. Through his leadership with other
soldiers, MILF, CPP – NPA and MNLF were defeated. He was awarded with a medal of Valor after a heroic battle at Patikan,
Sulu, surviving from a battle againts Abu Sayaff. On the other hand Col. Froilan Sentillas, the newly appointed PDEA chief
started massive operations against drug labs and marijuana plantation. Mr. Anthony Luna became a dental specialist. He
owned 20 clinics located all over the country. Mr. Saldy Bagon became a professor in a famous university in America and he
was planning to have his own university soon here in the Philippines. After our conversation Mr. Gado gave me the watch I
John Jimeno who was preaching that time. I sat beside a nun. Her face was familiar and I was so shocked when I realized
that she was none other than Ms. Roselaine Tuico. Who would have thought that the old chic girl of our generation became
a nun, it`s a mystery. After the mass I`d greeted them and left. I wanted to take a peep in BPA and so I did. When I
arrived, there were so many changes. It was more colorful and the construction was whole lot better than before. I went
directly to the office. Our fourth year adviser Mrs. Cristina A. Ventura became the principal of the school after ma`am Taclas
When I arrived the whole place was peaceful and no noise could be heard but I was astounded when I entered the living
room. Paolo and my other friends were there waiting for me. We had dinner all together, had so many stories to tell. I was
so tired that I wanted so much to get some sleep. I appreciated what they done for me. Ouch! Something cold touched my
face. I stood up from where I was sleeping. I looked around for my friends, they`re not here. I realized it was all a dream.
Wow! What a dream. If only they`ll all come true. But then, nothing is impossible in this world if you will strive in the fields
that you`ve chosen. People change so do their future if they`ll take the right path. My dear classmates lets strive and make
this dream of mine for all of us come true. So we can hold our heads up high and say “We rocked the world, and changed
Life ends when you stop dreaming, hope ends when you stop believing, love ends when you stop caring, friendship ends
when you stop sharing, so share this with whom ever you consider a friend. We all have our own life to pursue, our own
kind of dream to be weaving. And we all have some power to make wishes come true, as long as we keep believing. We
can have anything in life if we will sacrifice everything else for it. So classmates, let`s go for our own better future and
tomorrow.
To everyone thank you very much for listening and God speed.
