PROPOSAL 

What form of production do you intend on producing? (Short film, music video, stop
motion animation, documentary) 
I will be producing a documentary on drugs, while this is a topic that gets covered a lot, there has
been some media attention over the mayor of London's plan to decriminalise class b drugs. Class B
drugs are considered by Parliament to be less harmful than Class A drugs and include amphetamines,
barbiturates, cannabis and dihydrocodeine. Certain Class B drugs are reclassified to Class A if they have
been prepared for injection. These include amphetamines, dihydrocodeine and codeine.  
 
Based on the performances in your previous units, what areas do you need to
improve on this time round? 
I believe that the main area I need to improve upon is my time management as well as try and
improve my concentration and focus skills. However, a positive of the previous unit was my
written work.   
 
Why have you chosen this production? What visual based skills do you feel it will help
you to develop?  
I have chosen to do a documentary because they can be a great way to shine light onto a certain
topic, the skills it will help me develop are my interviewing skills as well as my editing skills. A good
documentary has music to fit its tone as well as well-timed cuts between shots. 
 
Will you be working individually or as part of a 2-person team? Why have you chosen
this? 
I have chosen to work by myself for this project as it is something I feel very strongly about, I want
to be able to highlight the issues and positives about my topic. The topic is a controversial one,
there are those who believe that all drugs are harmful to anyone and everyone. While some believe
certain drugs should be legalised.  
America has basically allowed the use of weed for everyone, and Malta has become the first
European country to do the same as well. In England, weed can be used medicinally but it isn't
something that is very well known but this could change soon with many scientists in favour of
medicinal marijuana.
