I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, 80% of the students should be able to:

a) Demonstrate an understanding about Ozone layer;


b) Embrace a responsibility on Ozone Depletion;
c) Make a presentation and present in front of the class about Ozone Depletion cause by
human.

III. Procedure:
A. Preliminary activities

A3. Arranging of chairs
A4. Checking of attendance
A5. Review of the past lesson (The teacher will call student/s to recap the previous lesson)

B. Motivation
(The teacher will give an open – ended question about the ozone layer. The students will
give their own opinion and the teacher will give feedback after the discussion)

C. Presentation/Discussion
a) Ozone in our atmosphere
b) The ozone depletion process.
c) Stratospheric ozone depletion
d) Implications of ozone depletion.

D. Activity
(The teacher will divide the students into small groups of 4.The students will have to
research how the ozone layer is being depleted by humans. The teacher will collaborate with the
school librarian to gather materials like books and articles for students. They should plan a
presentation to share the information they learned. Their presentation can be in the form of
slide show, skit, or written book. Have each group present to the rest of the class. They can
practice then perform their slide shows and skits, or read their picture book to the rest of the
class.)

E. Analysis
(The teacher will ask the students how does factories and human activities cause Ozone
Depletion.)

F. Abstraction
(The teacher will ask the students to give a summary of the discussion)

G. Application
(Each students will write about what they can do to protect our Ozone Layer.)
IV. Evaluation:
Answer the following questions.
1. What is ozone and where is it in the atmosphere?
2. What is the chemical symbol of ozone?
3. How large is the depletion of the global ozone layer?
4. Do changes in the Sun and volcanic eruptions affect the ozone layer?
5. Does depletion of the ozone layer increase ground-level ultraviolet radiation?

V. Assignment:
Search down the internet about motion. Write down you observation in a piece of paper. Sketch
an illustration that involves motion moving in a straight path.
