In today's world, programming is undoubtedly one of the most effective tools an individual

can wield. I got a taste of Computer Science while working as an Analyst for Capgemini.
Ever since, I have been completely fascinated by the sheer ability of how much Computer
Science can be innovative. Thoroughly intrigued by its multifaceted applications, I have
decided to pursue my higher education in this field. My zeal for solving modern problems
with the help of programming is the catalyst that encourages me to work as a Data Analyst
at a globally reputed firm.

Even before commencing my undergraduate, I was always keen on staying relevant to the
technological advancements taking place throughout the world. Taking into consideration
every option before me, I chose Machine Learning and Soft Computing as my electives.
As a kid, one of the high times of my day would be to solve the newspaper's daily puzzle
section. The complex issues I faced initially while learning Machine Learning reminded
me of my old days solving puzzles. This realization made the whole learning experience
much more alluring. The process of overcoming the challenges I faced in the beginning,
played a pivotal role in building the framework needed to tackle much more complex
hurdles I came across later on. Once accustomed to the workings behind this magnificent
application of Artificial Intelligence, I started developing a passion for pursuing a career in
Computer Science. Owing to this interest of mine, I even took the initiative of
implementing lab sessions, which helped me gain more perspective on the subjects.

During my final year of undergraduate, I made it a point to choose a project that will pave
the way for my Computer Science career. Titled as 'Achieving Data Integrity using Hash
Trees,' this project aimed to achieve irrefutable Data Security using Hash Trees. Whenever
data is transferred between computer systems, it is critical that the information isn't
meddled with. Unfortunately, it isn't feasible to manually scrutinize a large amount of data,
and this is where Hash Trees come into the picture. Hash trees can be used to verify any
kind of data stored, managed, and transferred in and between computer systems. Primarily
used for making sure that data transmitted from other peers in a peer-to-peer network are
received undamaged and unmodified, Hash Trees are also used for verifying whether the
other peers do not deny and send fake data. 'Achieving Data Security using Hash Tree'
project entailed a research-based effort to determine the integrity of any kind of data, as
well as efficient verification of the data using a Hash tree and a highly effective hashing
algorithm. The BGN and ECC encryption and decryption algorithm was employed for the
implementation of the project. The major setback that we had to overcome while working
on the project was the time taken to encrypt and decrypt a large chunk of data. I proposed
employing multithreading to mitigate this time-consumption problem. A team of my peers
under my supervision was able to split the chunk of data into smaller sizes using
multithreading, thereby reducing the time consumed in encryption and decryption. After
resolving this problem, the project provided integrity and a guarantee of no data tamper
successfully. Throughout my undergraduate years, I utilized every opportunity thrown at
me to sharpen my technical skills and expertise. The experience that I garnered by working
on academic projects instilled a practical approach that came in handy when I entered the
corporate world. The completion of my under graduation with flying colors saw me
working as an Analyst at Capgemini since August 2018.

The professional experience that I acquired during my tenure at Capgemini has been a
milestone in my journey of excelling in computer science. As my first project, I got the
opportunity of working on the development of static and dynamic insurance forms for the
client using the Monalisa Scripting Language and Perceptive Document Composition Tool.
Being a developer on my team, I not only wrote scripts and conditions for data validation
but also conducted rounds of reviews to check the clarity of data. This project's successful
completion led our team to bag the honor of the 'Super Team Award.' As I am a part of the
AI Academy in Capgemini, I had the privilege of gaining knowledge from my superiors
and refine my AI (Artificial Intelligence), ML (Machine Learning), and NLP (Natural
Language Processing) skills by giving regular tests. These skills were put to use when I
submitted projects on IMDB score prediction and Spam/Ham email detection using Python,
where ML and NLP were used. I was also a part of Millennial Garage that enables engineers
to collaborate on the latest technologies and enhance their skills. Taking into consideration
my continuous learning (100 – 200 hours), I was awarded the 'Gold Star Award' in
Learnathon 2020, under the initiative taken by our company to upskill and foster career
growth. My enthusiastic approach towards learning new things placed me among the top
50 learners for July 2020. Due to my proficiency in working with AI, I was selected into
Capgemini's Conversational AI team to develop chatbots. As of now, my current project
entails working with a client to deliver chatbot using C# and Azure.

Besides the classroom learnings, I was always forward to accumulate as much knowledge
as I can through every possible source available. During my tenure of 4 years, I actively
took part in a Python workshop conducted by my college. Not limited to the curriculum, I
enrolled for Java and Android courses and secured certification in Oracle Certified Java
Associate (OCJA) Java 8. During the third year of my undergraduate, I led a team of my
peers in developing a GIS-based application for searching and allocating exam centers that
were implemented using Java, PHP, MySQL, and Android for the ministry of Human
Resource Development. Thoroughly intrigued by the fantastic experience, I decided to take
part again the next year in which our idea was to solve the problem statement of combining
data related to Schedule tribe from multiple sources and present the same in an easy to use
format. Under my supervision as the leader of our team, we implemented the solution using
HTML, Bootstrap, MySQL, PHP, and JavaScript for the ministry of Tribal Affairs. One of
my engineering's main highlights was the nationwide coding competition 'Hackathon.'
Smart India Hackathon is a 36-hour national coding competition initiated by Hon'ble Prime
Minister Shri Narendra Modi for students to solve pressing problems by using their
ingenious, engaging, futuristic, and empowering solutions. I also took part in 'Transform
Maharashtra,' a unique initiative by the Hon'ble Chief Minister for the youths to create a
road map for the developed state. Appointed as the leader, I spearheaded our team in
securing the 8th position for our solution in the Judge's Round by providing a solution on
how to segregate waste by using technology.

I believe that my hard-working nature, coupled with my avidity for learning, proves my
candidacy for the Masters in Computer Science at the acclaimed University at Buffalo. The
fact that the curriculum perfectly aligns with my area of interest is all the more reason why
I want to pursue my Masters from SUNY Buffalo. Under the guidance of eminent
professors like Dr. Venu Govindaraju, who has done extensive research on Data Mining
and Data Science, and Dr. Chunming Qiao, a multiple patent-holder, I'm confident that I'll
be able to realize my full potential. Looking forward to being part of clubs like ‘Women in
Science and Engineering’, I’m sure I will contribute to the globally rich culture at the
University at Buffalo. Lastly, I would like to thank the admissions committee for giving
me the opportunity to propose my application.
